Built On Trust | OT8

Chapter 3

One by one, all the roommates have introduced themselves to the cat and they all sat in the kitchen eating. They figured they would let the cat scout out their home while they talked.

"So, I wanted to talk to you guys about Changbin." Hyunjin started, making everyone look at him.

Hyunjin told them how the cat bit the thief but got thrown against the wall. Stating how he took him to get checked on.

"You see, the vet told me some interesting news. Do you guys know about hybrids?"

They all seemed to nod.

"Well, she stated how there were a lot of hybrids missing and that Changbin could be one since his collar had numbers on it."

They all gasped.

"H-He's a hybrid?!" Seungmin whisper shouted.

"Yes. He can change into a cat. If it's ok with you guys, I really want him to stay. Hopefully, he can learn to trust us and maybe we see his human form."

"I mean, I don't mind. But if he turns into a human, we don't really have a bed for him." Minho said.

"Well, the couch turns into a bed. We could use that when he first transforms. We don't know if he's going to stay a human or not." Chan said.

"True. I'm actually excited. Hybrids are so cool! It's a shame what humans have done." Jeongin pouted.

Seungmin seemed hesitant, "I'm... just worried. You know those stories about those rogue hybrids. I mean, he already bit a human. What if he attacks us?"

"Seungmin, we have to trust him. Plus who knows what lies those stories told." Felix said with an angry pout

Hyunjin looked over, seeing the cat walk over to them slowly. He was worried he heard them talking about him.

"Hey, Changbin." He smiled at the cat.

He looked at all of them, walking fast around them to drink some water.

"Does someone wanna help me with the cat litter?"

Chan got the heavy bags with ease and they moved to the one bathroom. "I hope he trusts us." Chan stated, pouring the litter into the container.

"Same here."

They closed the bag, placing it next to the container and came out to see Felix playing with the cat. He had a fish on a string and Changbin was swatting at it.

"Just be careful that he doesn't overdo it. His muscle was a bit swollen." Hyunjin reminded him. Felix nodded and the two went to the others who just watched.

"He's adorable." Jisung smiled. "I call him tonight."

"I think Changbin decides where he sleeps since it's a new surrounding." Chan smiled.

Jisung pouted but said ok and watched as Changbin laid down, not attacking the dangling fish.

"Well, let's just watch a movie and let him do his thing." Minho stated, going over to the couch. Changbin looked up at him with big eyes before stretching and walking carefully over to him.

Minho gave him his hand and the cat rubbed against him, and then jumped on the couch. They were in shock seeing the cat carefully go on his lap and making a bed on his jeans.

"Wow, he must really trust you." Hyunjin stated in awe.

"Maybe he smelled my cats on me." Minho guessed. Minho had cats who lived with his parents as he couldn't bring them to the dorm. They only allowed one pet and he could never choose between his children.

One by one, they all sat on the couch, letting Felix and Hyunjin sit next to Minho as the cat seemed most comfortable with the three. The others sat on the side couch or the floor.

They decided to watch a Disney movie as they didn't want something too hard core in case of scaring the cat. Somehow one movie turned into three and it was night time.

Everyone started to do their night routine and Minho carefully moved the cat off his lap.

He looked up at him as a way to say 'how could you?'.

Minho chuckled, "I'm sorry but I got to get ready for bed. I have a job tomorrow to go to." He rubbed him behind his ear but the cat backed away.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Do you not like your ears being pet?" Minho asked, giving him his hand.

Changbin jumped down and Minho pouted.

He went to Hyunjin. "Hey, I think Binnie doesn't like his ears pet. I did as my cats like it but he backed away from me."

"Binnie?" Hyunjin chuckled.

Minho shrugged, "It's a cute nickname."

Hyunjin nodded, "We'll tell the others as well so they know." Minho agreed, going to everyone to tell them the news.

The blond sighed, changed and sat on his bed. He scrolled through his phone for a few minutes and heard something. He looked up, seeing the black cat on his bed.

"Hey, you wanna sleep here?" He asked, a bit surprised at how fast Changbin was trusting them.

The cat responded by pawing the blankets and soon lying down. He started cleaning himself and soon yawned. He put his head down and closed his eyes.

Hyunjin smiled, carefully moving to lie down, and turned off his bedside table light. With a sigh, he closed his eyes and soon fell asleep.

A/N: Is this moving too fast? Idk, I was trying to make it look like Changbin is acting like a cat soooo... thoughts?

Going back into my stories is so strange. Like what was I even writing? Haha. I see the ideas that I just couldn't produce. In time hopefully I can release all of this. Gosh what a ride this was.
