If Only

Chapter One

It was a new semester in ALIS(Abraham Lincon International School) and it was Clara's first day of 2015 in the Middle School Library waiting for school to start. She was just going through her e-mail, checking instagram, snap chat... her normal routine. She saw that she had gotten an e mail talking about a new student, but of course, she didn't pay much attention to it "I don't need more people to look at with disgust while they talk shit about 5sos" she thought. The hours passed by and soon it was time for advisory. There, she saw lost of her friends like, Disha, Margaret, Paula, and of course, Patty the most amazing girl in the universe. Patty jumped out of her seat and hugged Clara while saying " You are not going to believe what a got for Christmas!!" -"An I phone5c?!?!?" said Clara, happy for her friend, "What? No. Gods love. You ungrateful slut." Then patty left shaking her head. Clara quickly recognized Ms. Blair's announcement song when she started singing it. "Announcements, announcement, anNOUNCements. Okay guys, welcome back, I hope you had a nice Christmas brake, which we can talk about later, but first, I'm going to introduce you to Martin, which is joining us today." Martin was a normal sized, surprisingly cute 13 year old boy. He shyly smiled, a smile that reminded Clara of an emoji.☺️The emoji kid said "Hey Guys" in an accent Clara couldn't identify. Ms. Blair began to talk again "Martin, please tell us about your self!" Martin turned a bit pink and quietly started talking "I'm from Scotland, I...like football. And ummm" he laughed a little "I don't know" He said, while looking down at he's shoes. 'Okay, he is officially the cutest guy ever.' Thought Clara, although when she looked around she only saw people with their phones, and well, even though she hated to admit it, she did see some girls that looked interested. "Well, Martin is going to need a buddy to show him around the school." (A buddy is a person they assing to show the new kid around the school) Ms. Blair cheerfully announced while she smiled at Martin. "Hoooww aboouuut.... Clara!" Clara looked up startled. 'Oh my god yes. Oh my god no. Do I Look okay OH GOD ARE THESE COTHES FINE?!' she thought nervously, but she just said "Okay" and smiled. After Martin sat next to her, MS. Blair started the boring announcements. When she finished, Clara turned to Martin. "Um hey" Clara said shyly. "Hey! Thanks for showing me around, this school is kind of weird...I mean, no offence, I love you- I mean, this school-and you- but I mean-not you, like, the people in the school you know- not that I don't like you-" Clara cut him off "Yeah its okay I get it." Martin was completely red by now and just looked away. The bell rang and Clara showed Martin the way to he's class, which was the same as hers because they curiously had the same schedule except the Spanish, Geo, and Catalan Classes. When she got to her math class, Her math teacher saw that he had a new student, and he kindly let Clara and Martin talk freely, since he was new. Clara and Martin didn't have much privacy though, because they were on a table of 4 people and the other two girls were also very interested in talking to Martin. Too interested in Clara's opinion, although it didn't bother her because Martin was only paying attention to his buddy, Clara. Still, she would have to keep an eye on Alice, which was trying her best on getting Martins notice. The classes went by until it was lunchtime. "Hey Clara" Martin began nervously "Do you mind if I sit with you? I don't know anyone very well yet..." Of course, Clara didn't have any problem with this. "Sure! Let me just get my lunch" she said, and headed off to the lockers. There she met up with Patty. "Hey! How's it with that new Martin guy? Yay or nay? Hot or not? Psycho or... uh, not psycho?" patty concluded, still kind of confused with her own words. "Yay, hot, and not psycho" Clara declared with shiny eyes "guuuuuuurll you've totally got the hot's for Martin, and oh, there he comes." Martin was waiting outside the cafeteria door, and smiled as soon as he saw Clara. "Hey cutie, I'm Patty." Clara mentally face palmed. She also wanted to face palm patty with a brick. Although it was funny to see Martin red like a tomato and a mix of scared and confused like that. Clara sighed, "Can we go eat?" "Please" martin smiled and opened the door for them. They weren't even half way into the meal when Yale appeared "Hey Martin do you want to come sit with us?" Martin looked at Clara then at Yale and then back at Clara. "Can I?" asked Martin. "Yeah of course" answered Clara nodding. Clara didn't notice, but Patty did notice Martin looking Clara's way with a worried look.
