I wanted to get the story started so I'm speeding up the competition.

Kennedy POV

I had so much fun working with Kelly and I can't wait for our performance tonight. She told me that I reminded her of someone she was used to know but didn't get the chance to meet. There's something different about Kelly that makes me feel a little attached but I just brush it off and go the other way.

Kennedy. Kelly called

Yes? I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention. I said

Let's talk. She said sitting in the chair across from me.

OK. I said

So what are your plans after tonight? She asked

I want to continue with music but I also want to graduate from high school. I said

Ok now I have another question for you. Does it matter where you sing? She asked.

I just want to sing I gotta story to tell and I need the whole world to hear it. I don't care about where I start the only thing that matters is where it ends. I told her

That's all I need to hear I have a few friends that want to work with you but I will have to speak with your parents or guardian because you will have to accompany me back to the US. She told me

My parents are on a business trip but my grandmother is out in the audience right now and I'm sure she can speak to you after the show. I told her and she agreed then it was time for us to perform.



Kelly POV

I loved working with Kennedy and I'm more excited that she could possibly be coming back to the US with me. After the performance we met her grandmother backstage.

Grandma can I please go? I heard

Kennedy I don't know you still have school. Her grandmother said

I'm Valedictorian I could fail my finals and still be at the top of my class. Kennedy argued

HI I heard and I just want you to know that I will be hiring a tutor and I will pay for everything for Kennedy to still get her education and make sure that she graduates... Ms. Angel? I said finally getting a good look at my ex-boyfriend grandmother standing in front of me.

Kelly oh my goodness you look amazing. She said hugging me.

Thank you and look beautiful as well. I told her

Grandma you know Kelly Rowland? Kennedy added

Your father and Kelly were dating in high school and almost had a child together. Ms. Angel said

What happened to the baby? Kennedy asked

Um I think I should go. I told them with a smile.

It was nice seeing you Kelly and Kennedy will be packing as soon as we get home. Ms. Angel said

Can you have Kennedy send me the address and I will be there around eight. I told her.

Right now I'm on my way to get Kennedy and then we are heading to the airport. When I got there Kennedy was coming out of the door with her suitcases in hand.

So I have a question. Kennedy said getting in the car

Ok shoot. I told her

First, where am I going to stay? And do you know my mom? She said

Well you're going to be staying with me and don't worry I already told everyone you and they can't wait to see you. I told her

Really I thought I was going to have to get a hotel. She said and I looked at her like she was crazy.

Your a minor Kennedy I wouldn't let you go to a hotel unsupervised. I told her

That's good.... So did you know my mom? She asked

What's her name? I asked

I don't know my dad said she died giving birth to me and every time I ask about her he gets angry. She said

I'm so sorry sweetheart. I said as we got on the plane.

It's cool I guess that means she's looking over me. She said before dozing off.

There's something about Kennedy that makes want to keep her close and never let her go. I love Titan with all my heart but there's still an empty place in my heart that belongs to my baby girl. I don't care what nobody says I heard my baby cry and I will move heaven and earth to find her.

Kennedy POV

When I woke up I looked over at Kelly and she looked like she was thinking about something so I just turned to the window. After awhile I looked back and she was crying I didn't know what to do so I asked for some tissue and gave it to her.

Thank you. She said wiping her face.

You're welcome... Are you ok? I asked

Yeah I'm fine we should be getting ready to land now. She told me but I could tell that something was wrong.

Ever since I met Kelly it's like my life is complete. I know that I have my dad and his wife but when I'm with Kelly I feel like I can open up and be free.

What's going on in that head of yours? Kelly asked.

I'm just ready to get to work. I told her with a smile

Okay come on so we can rest up and get started tomorrow. She told me and we exited the plane

California is nice. I said looking around

Is this your first time. She asked

Yeah Desmond always said that he would bring me on my eighteenth birthday. I told her

Well this is going to be a very exciting week. She said and then my phone started ringing.

It's my dad. I told her a smile.

Hey Kennedy your grandmother told me that you won that TV show thing congratulations. He said

Thank you did she tell you that we met Kelly Rowland and I'm staying with her for the weekend. I said excitingly while I showing Kelly who was waving

Um... Kennedy did anyone come with you? He asked

No dad I'm fine nothings going to happen and plus Kelly said that she's going to get me a tutor so I can stay on top of my studies. I told him

That's not the point you were supposed to stay with your grandmother. He said sternly

Lance it's fine I can handle her. Kelly said

I didn't ask you this is between me and my child. My dad yelled

Well if you cared then you would see that your child is crying her eyes out right now. Kelly said

Kennedy I'm sending Desmond to get you first thing in the morning. He told me

I don't wanna leave. I told him

I don't care about the tears Kennedy have your shit together tomorrow. He said then hung up

Come here Kennedy it's ok I'll handle it. Kelly said

But he's going to make me leave and I don't want to all I want to do is finally do something for me and he wants to take that away it's not fair. I cried

You have to calm down Ken or else you gonna make yourself sick. She said wiping my face.

Please don't let him take me back. I told her before we got in the car.
