It seems as though the Angel of Music had seen the Phantom before, possibly in a dream. On their way down the Phantom spoke the words of "In all your fantasies you always knew, that man in mystery." then the Angel calling back, "Were both in you." The Angel had finally figured out who this man was. Once reaching the bottom of the lair, the Angel had fell asleep into the Phantom's arms.
