Normally I would be sleeping right now, but I just can't. I've been awake for about 3 hours now. The sun is starting to appear, and birds are already chirping. It's kind of annoying me, but I guess it's my fault for being awake so early.I decided that I needed to get out of bed and get ready, since I had nothing to do either way. I slipped my feet into my bunny slippers and looked at my phone screen. It was almost 5:30 am, so that meant I had a good 2 hours to get prepared. I stretched as I got out of my bed and made my way to the bathroom. I had a feeling this was going to be a very long day.
I made my way to the bus stop at the corner of my street. I was playing music in my ears and looking at the scenery. People were either; walking to the bus stop just like me, going for a morning run, walking their dogs or even, talking on the phone.
I enjoyed these moments because I could let my imagination wonder around. Example, the person on the phone. Their face had a serious expression, so they were probably talking about work, or something very important to them. It just made me think about all the mysteries in the world, and that you can't know everyone and everything.
I didn't even notice that I arrived at the bus stop and that the bus was there as the same time as me. I quickly got on and made my way to a seat in the back.

I walked down the school halls, throwing a few hellos here and there, and getting some of them back. I was looking for China and Paolo, since they owed me 20$ each. I had won a bet the previous night. I know they were trying to hide from me. Their broke asses probably didn't even have the 20$. I walked faster and faster, trying to distinguish their features through the crowd.
"BITCH I FINALLY FOUND Y'ALL" I screamed, as I saw them hiding behind a trash can.
They immediately started running the other way, giggles leaving their mouths, as I chased them into the cafeteria. I catched up to them, as we calmed down from our previous laughing and made our way to take our food trays. We got in line, talking about a party we were probably going to go to tonight.
"You both owe me 20$, but since I'm a nice ass person, y'all paying for my lunch and snacks today" I spoke, putting some pancakes in my tray.
"Deal" they both agreed at the same time as we went and sat at our usual table with some of our other friends.
I have to be honest and say that I wasn't an outcast. I was a pretty chill person and didn't mind socializing with people. Even though I still liked to have some alone time, I thought I had a decent number of friends I could rely on.
We all started eating as we talked and goofed around the cafeteria table.
"Miss Sua Kiano, please report to the principal's office" I heard on the intercom of the school.
"Bro the day just started" I whined, getting up from my seat.
"See you later in class then" Paolo said, as he dapped me up and as China waved me goodbye.
I made my way to the office, confused as to why I was called in the first place.
********
"I don't know what you're talking about! I didn't sign up in any of these clubs this year" I exclaimed, getting up from my chair.
"It looks like there's a misunderstanding then. Your parents told me over the phone that you wanted to sign up in all of these. I called you in because I needed you to be sure of your decision. Now I know that calling you here was a good decision" The principal said, ripping up the club sign up sheets, and throwing them in the garbage. "I think you need to have a talk with your parents now" he continued, looking at me sympathetically.
"Don't tell me what to do" I said as I got up from my chair, leaving the office.
I didn't mean to sound rude or anything. He was my principal for god's sake, but I just felt like punching a hole in the wall at the moment. I quickly ran down the hall, going to a remote place where I could be alone, so nobody could hear me. I dialed my mom's number, and nervously waited for her to pick up.
"Why are you calling me. Aren't you supposed to be in class?" my mom rudely spoke into the phone.
"Nice talking to you too mother" I signed.
"I don't have all day, what do you want" she spoke.
My anger started to flare again, remembering why I was calling her in the first place.
"I just went to the principal's office and he told me that you called them to sign me up in these random clubs! And it was without my consent, so I don't know what you're doing but I don't like it." I spoke surprisingly calmly, but it didn't change the fact that I was still very angry.
"Well, dear daughter, you really think I want to pay for your college fees? It would be a complete waste of money to spend it on you. You are basically worthless to me, so you should be thanking me for even trying to sign you up in these clubs. Think of it as a favor. Either you're able to get a scholarship and go to college, or you go nowhere in life and be more pathetic than you already are." My mother spoke, her tone becoming bold all of a sudden.
I was honestly baffled. She was always mean and controlling most of the time, but I didn't know she had all this hatred bottled up in her, obviously towards me.
I slowly hung up, still stunned, but not letting her continue.
My back slid down the wall, as I looked up to the ceiling. I really wanted to know how I even got here, in this mess. And right there in that moment, that's when I decided I need to get away from here. At least for a long period of time.
I quickly got up from the floor, dusting myself off. I was surprised that I didn't cry this time, but at this point crying is useless. I jogged through the halls, trying to find China and Paolo's class. I immediately barged in the class they were in, looking for their familiar faces.
"Ms. Kiano, what is so important that you have to disrupt my class?" my English teacher angrily glared at me.
"Personal reasons. Paolo, China, come on we're leaving." I said, the whole class looking at me.
"Don't mind if I do. Peace out bitches" China said, throwing up a peace sign.
Paolo quickly followed us, as we pushed the school doors open to make our way to the parking lot. I got into the driver's seat, China in the passenger's and Paolo in the back.
"What's going on" China and Paolo spoke at the same time.
"I need to get away from here" I said, breathing heavily since we ran all the way over here.
"What do you mean" Paolo said, clearly confused.
"It means I need a bunch of gasoline, a whole lot of matches and your help."
"Ok, I don't know what we're doing, but fuck it" China said, buckling her seatbelt. We both looked at Paolo, waiting for his answer.
"Y'all know I'm always down for a little fun" he rubbed his hand together, a mischevious smile creeping up on his face.
"alright then, let's go." I smirked, driving out of the school parking lot.
