My friends decided to stay at the Wrocklage yard – a particular place in the school where students are suppose to be able to study properly – for the break. I, however, was not a fan of the place because it was noisy, which I didn’t really get, by the way, because it was supposed to be the other place aside from the library where we could study. But since I didn’t feel like going home, I decided to stay. As they were taking their books out of their bags, I put my head on top of my hand on the table and slept. It was noisy but nothing ever beats my sleeping prowess.
I was unbelievably brave and strong as I destroyed a fire breathing monster. Equipped with a magical sword handed to me by an enchantress I met in the dark forest, I was able to kill every single havoc-wreaker in the village. That was with the help of a giant bird that was a pet of Hagrid’s. I was a hero looked upon by every single person in the village.
There was a chair-pulling noise and my eyes fluttered. I saw an awfully familiar face of a man whose smile went from ear to ear. I had come to realize how this fine looking person was the same man who was disgusted of the very fact of my existence.
I had no time being embarrassed that he’d probably seen my stupid sleeping face. I quickly turned to my friends and said, “Gotta go.”
He had easily caught up to me though. He was again blocking my way. “Geez for a little girl like yourself, you sure do walk fast.”
I had absolutely no time for his bullshit but I did not want to cause any more trouble so I asked him what he wanted.
“You don’t have to avoid me anymore.” was all he said.
As the words sunk into my brain, I realized that I had to say something. “Okay.” I was turning around to walk away when he’d grab my elbow and faced me to him.
“You’re still avoiding me.” he whined.
I felt the coldness of his hands on my arm and it was repulsive. I hated the feeling of his touch. I quickly took my hand back and said, “You’ve told me what you’ve come to tell me already. And it’s all good cause I wasn’t going to avoid you anymore. I’ve avoided you a lot before and it almost got me killed. Now that you’re telling me not to avoid you anymore is fine but I don’t really give a damn even if you’d say otherwise cause I’m not going to get killed for someone. Now if you excuse me I need to make my goddamn assignment already.”
I hurriedly turned and walked away from him. It always had to happen like that I guess. Between the two of us, someone would start the talk and the other would always shut the other up and leave. Fortunately though, I had always been the latter.
I didn’t really get why he had to talk to me anyway. It would have been so much better if we’d just pretend that we didn’t know each other. It would save us lots of effort and trouble and we didn’t have to pretend to be civil to each other. Maybe I was harsh but I'd learned not to be always nice to everybody in a hard cold way.
