The rescue baby Odyn! He's a California King Snake, around 3 and a half-ish.
He's doing really well and has gotten a lot better, he rarely hisses when you go in or take him out of his tank, he's still a little jumpy but hasn't been striking or as defensive. He's been eating extremely well too!
We had no plans of ever doing rescues because we aren't extremely experienced and they are a lot of work. But, my mom loved him and as the people who were offering to take didn't have any experience mom contacted them and we got him. We believe the kids hammered on the glass and traumatised him, the minute we went near the glass he would get defensive, hiss, strike, and just generally be on guard. He didn't eat for 3 months, and we were considering handing him over to an expert - I was against this and cried because I adored him - we switched up his food and instead of heating it up with boiling water, fed it dry, and he took it. He started making more progress from then on soo we kept himm! He has tried to bite me twice and both times missed and got my clothes but that's fine- he hasn't done it since! ^^ Okay any theres that backstory aidjsjd Onto the pictures!
