Sanyukta as I don't want to jeopardize our friendship why don't we sign in for a contract marriage?

All Sanyukta was able to do was stare at him blankly...

Sanyukta I know you might feel that what I am saying is bullshit and makes no sense but trust me this is the only way out for us...

Sanayukta just wanted to slap him once so hard that he comes to his senses but she calmed herself, and just said nothing letting Randhir reflect on his words... 

Randhir within 30 seconds of his explosion mumbled a sorry not meeting her eyes while Sanyukta stared straight into his.

Sanyukta still didn't speak anything and stood there calmly.

Sanyukta Randhir nudged her

Randhir I know you are frustrated, I know you don't love me nor do I love you, Randhir looked at Sanyukta here, I know that you are neither interested in marrying me, you are being forced upon like like me, Randhir had all his ears to her, I'll be made the CEO if I marry you and that is the only reason I am willing to get married to you, nothing more, nothing less, he knew Sanyukta's dream from childhood was to lead and expand the company and everyone knew that as well so blackmailing her in this made sense but listening to her saying it with such a blank expression hurt him, Nothing more, nothing less these words ranged in his ears continuously, but wasn't it his idea on the first place? but he was brought into reality by Sanyukta's voice, Why are you forced into this Randhir? she asked

I want to move out and for me to move out I need to get married to you...

Oh that is what all Sanyukta could say 

Well the only reason they are forced to married is that they love each other but are unaware of it themselves but it is pretty evident infront of everyone in their family...They had decided to marry Sanyukta and Randhir off itself in childhood if they did not have a boyfriend/girlfriend resp in the future, and everyone used to tease them for this...

Why can't we marry each other normally Randhir? What is the need for this contract?

Randhir's P.O.V

Sanyukta, you know I have already lost you once as a "friend " of course and I don't want the history to repeat itself. I know I am to be blamed for this, had I not had been that awkward, avoided you when you tried to initiate a conversation, ignored you when you tried to reconcile our differences and I don't want that to happen again. You were my dearest friend, with whom I shared my first kiss, and trust me if I didn't avoid you back then we could have made a grave mistake and you could have hated me all your life and I didn't want that to happen. And as of the contract marriage, I will let you free after a year of our marriage so that you can find your soulmate, Mr. Right, and don't just waste your life with me. I have changed Sanyukta, I am not the old Randhir who cared about everyone, I am not the old Randhir whom you know I have become selfish, money-minded, IDC about anyone now, and moreover I don't do love anymore, and staying with me will only cause you harm and you will eventually start to hate me...  All he could do was say these in his mind, without daring to utter a word in front of her...

Why can't we marry each other normally Randhir? What is the need for this contract? Sanyukta repeated her question again...

Sanyukta I am afraid if we aren't compatible with each other to be each other's soulmate or life partners? I think we are good off as friends why complicate the things between us? Don't you think so? Plus with the contract, you can divorce me after a year, claim 20% in my assets, and you can blame this divorce on me so that our families won't blame you for all of this mess.

All Sanyukta could think was why can't this be done for real, without any contract?

Randhir I myself earn a good amount of money, just so you know...and I am not a gold digger just FYI...and I am absolutely fine if everyone blames me for this divorce, you don't need to become my knight in shining armor for God's sake RANDHIR she yelled, she really did try keeping her patience but alas she couldn't...

Sanyukta I didn't mean it that way...Randhir tried to explain himself

Randhir...After all these years you just couldn't understand me could you? all of a sudden her voice, emotions, and everything changed and Randhir couldn't just understand her...well actually even she couldn't understand herself why the heck was she reacting this way...

Sanyukta if I have hurt you in any way today just forgive me okay...let's just forget that this conversation happened...let's just get married in a real sense okay? Okay?

Sanyukta started to walk away trying to calm herself a bit and not take any decision in haste but her mind today couldn't calm itself down... Okay, Randhir let's sign the contract she said and left not even giving Randhir a second to react or analyze or even grasp what just happened...
