Episode 25: Her Turmoil

He entered her room without even knocking, there sat Sanyukta wearing her shorts, tank top, and her hair made into a messy bun she indeed looked like a hot mess, she continued sipping onto her coffee oblivious to his presence. She kind of knew he could be here any moment and seeing him in front of her just cleared her doubt.

She was still sipping her coffee which made Randhir grab her cup and take a sip out of it...Sanyukta just stared at him... What is it Randhir? I told you na that I will add some clauses to the contract and let's sign the contract next week. Then why are you here? she was irritated by his presence.

Sanyukta we are friends and I just thought of visiting you as one...

We have crossed that line years back Randhir, and just 2 hours back you tried to cross that line again so don't give this bullshit that we are friends and stuff...

I am sorry Sanyukta...I just lost control over myself and didn't realize that I was going to he took a pause...

Randhir let me make one thing very clear to you, in this one year I don't want to harbor any feelings for you so for that you need to be in control. I am not someone anyone can just come, play and go, I make sure that the person pays back...so you better watch out.

This wasn't the Sanyukta he had ever seen...she always did things in a calm and composed manner, never did she ever had hurt anyone even unintentionally...but well that was 10 years back...He just nodded not wanting to create any scene or have any fight...

Sanyukta why are you behaving this way? Is it because I almost kissed you today or anything else is bothering you...

You still don't realize it Randhir she had pain in her voice and tears started to form in her eyes and finally when it was unbearable for her a tear escaped her eyes which she wiped before Randhir could ever see.

What is it Sanyukta that I don't realize? If you won't tell me what's bothering you how will I know?

Sanyukta has always imagined this situation when Randhir would finally ask her and she would empty everything that was ever in her mind. Now that she has a chance, now when she can finally tell him that because of his reaction that day she was going through some psychological trauma, where she would always feel inferior, that she was complex, that she can't get much close to anyone cause of her fear of rejection, that though she had dated a couple of guys here and there, but she never ever had gone beyond some kisses and all and after every kiss she would just panic a bit that thinking that 'Is he also gonna leave feeling disgust' 'Am I a good kisser?' 'Do I look pretty?' and most importantly 'Am I enough for a person to stay with me?' Damn she wanted to shed off every insecurity of hers but she decided to keep it with herself. She didn't want Randhir to pity her. She was strong and she can very well take care of herself she thought. If it's a matter of 1 year then be it. After 1 year she can live her life however she wants to. 

You are bothering me Randhir. I want to sleep...

Now after having coffee, and moreover it's just 6 pm Sany...

My sleep, my coffee, my system, my wish...

Fine, let's talk once when you will be calm and willing to listen to me and talk to me...

I won't ... let's meet next week directly at Mr. Khurana's office and sign the contract...

Sanyukta we are going to spend a whole year together, with this attitude of yours I doubt if I could even spend a minute with you...

Then why are you here, leave if you can't stand me even for a second...she spoke with hurt and Randhir did notice that he added fuel to the fire...

Sanyukta listen I didn't mean it that way...he said holding her shoulders making her look straight into his face...

Either way, you did mean it some way...even if I were you I wouldn't want to spend life with myself, so it's absolutely okay... Now if you are done please leave...

Am I that bad? This was the thought that never left her mind that night...she sobbed and sobbed until her eyes gave up...
