There were only four of us outside because Sebastian said he was gonna go for a walk. He was probably looking for a girl to bring home, my subconscious told me. Why did I even care? Oh yeah, because I didn't want to see a stranger running around probably with her boobs and ass out.

I started wondering what the girls wanted to do. I mean they probably didn't come here just to sunbathe all day long.

"I don't want to move from here but we have to get some food," Gina mumbled.

She was right; the fridge was empty and I was already getting hungry. We enjoyed the sun for the next fifteen minutes and after that we went inside to change clothes and we were ready.

We all drove in Sebastian's car; Nate being the driver; because only his car was big enough. It was matte black and had a big RANGE ROVER written across the front. As I went in the strong smell of cologne hit me; it was intense but not bad. The inside was very clean as if the car was new. Gina and I sat in the back and Laura in the front.

We finally arrived to the nearest grocery shop and split ways to find the things we needed. It wasn't big but there were essentials which was great.

After we found everything we needed we headed back to the house.

"What is it?" Laura pointed at a big banner as we were waiting for the red light to turn green.

"A music festival! We have to go," Gina jumped in her seat and clapped her hand.

"Duh, there's no other option," Laura agreed. "What do you guys think about it?"

I didn't feel like attending such a big event but at the same time I didn't want to stay alone at the house as they were having fun.

"Great idea," I said and Nate nodded.

We finally arrived and Sebastian was already there. I was surprised that he didn't bring a girl with him. Gina informed him about our plans for the night and he shrugged.

I went back to my room and took my copy of The Doll to reread for a thousandth time. I've always loved reading but wasn't a fan of the books that were popular at the time. I preferred classics from all the eras around the world.

"Who brings a book on holiday?"

I saw Sebastian lurking by the door frame.

"Looks like I do," I shrugged; my voice flat. I just wanted to enjoy the moment as long as I could.

"Is it at least something good?" He said walking into the room.

I closed the book to show him the cover.

Sebastian laughed. "He kills himself because of a girl that was never able to love him. That's stupid."

I was surprised by his comment. Did he know this book? No, he definitely didn't because his statement was incorrect and he just wanted to mess with me.

"She loved him. She wasn't admitting that for a long time but she accepted his proposal. And, he didn't kill himself."

"When she realized he had money she was all over him. Looks like you don't pay attention to what you read," Sebastian snorted and left the room.

I put down the book with a bang and went downstairs to get water. I saw Gina cooking some pasta so I decided to help her a bit with whatever she needed even though I wasn't the best and tried to stay away from the kitchen at all cost.

After we all ate the dinner it was yet again time to go into the sun. Gina and Laura wanted me to swim with then but I politely declined. I dreaded the thought of a fish or something else brushing against my feet. I got the goosebumps just from thinking about it.

I closed my eyes and enjoyed the sunbeam when I felt a hand on my shoulder I raised my sunglasses and saw Nate. His white smile was mesmerizing. I supported myself on my elbows and admired his beautiful features.

"Come with me," he asked; his expression worried.

I frowned and followed him to the kitchen and we sat by the island.

"What is it?" I leaned forward to him.

"I don't know. You haven't talked to me since this morning. Since I told you..." he mumbled.

He was right but I didn't do it on purpose. I guess that what he told me stayed in the back of my head and kind of made the decision for me. I didn't think of it as a big deal but clearly the situation moved him more than it did me. Yes, it was weird that he admitted to that but what would that change? He was so nice and genuine and I was convinced that he liked me. Everything seemed like it, at least.

"I think you have nothing to worry about," I half-said, half-asked.

"I don't want you to think little of me."

"You're being way too dramatic," I laughed to lighten up the mood and it worked. "Yeah, it was kinda weird but like not the end of the world."

"I'm glad you said it," he rubbed my arm. "You're different from most girls I've met, intriguing. They usually don't have much to say where you have plenty and it's nice to listen to that."

I felt blood rushing to my cheeks so I covered them with my hands. Nate noticed it and came closer to me grabbing my hands and putting them down. He looked me in the eyes and brought his face near mine. My heart started beating faster and as I thought he was going to kiss me.

"Wow, dude. Really?" I heard Sebastian's amused voice echoing as he approached us.

Great. Timing.

I backed away slowly even though I didn't want at all. Sebastian's great at disturbing my enjoyable moments. I turned my head around and saw a smirk on his face as if he was waiting for that.

I decided to get away from this awkward situation and went straight to my room making sure that this time I closed the door to prevent Sebastian from peeking again. I took out the novel and continued reading it but this time paying more attention to Sebastian said about it.

Excellent. Now even my beloved hobby will be reminding me of this ass. I threw the book on the leather armchair and lied on the bed.

I heard knocking on the door. I shook my head, looked outside the window and noticed that the sun was slowly going down. Did I fall asleep? I must have.

"Becky?" I heard Gina's soft voice.

"Come in," I said; my voice still sleepy.

"Sebastian was right, you really did fall asleep," she said laughing.

What?

"Not to rush you or anything but we're leaving for the festival soon. Get ready!"

I took a quick shower and tied my hair in a ponytail because I had no time to style it. I didn't know what to wear so I chose my casual set of clothes.

I went downstairs and Laura disapproved of my outfit and gave me a red crop top because she thought it looked way better than a plain white t-shirt. I disagreed but Gina joined her side and I was left defenseless.
