Do you ever feel like you are not doing enough to please God? Or just have a force pulling you back. You believe in God yet you do some things that are not righteous ? Have you ever sinned, regretted, repented but then went back to the same gaffe? Well this is a thing most people (especially Christians) are struggling with; Toxic habits, addiction, delinquency or even laziness and procrastination .

Proverbs 26:11 "A fool doing some stupid thing the second time is like a dog going back to its vomit. "

The devil isn't happy when we do what pleases God and to sabotage that he tempts us to do evil. In this way we feel detached from God and he has an easier access to us. Whenever we are facing these tough challenges we should seek God for he will fight the battles for us. As Jesus was tempted in the desert, he maintained his integrity by holding firm against all that satan threw at him. He was tempted as we are and he is able to understand what we face. Jesus is a perfect example of how to overcome temptations that may come our way. The secret to his victory was the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. These are available to us also and Jesus wants us to use them to overcome the enemy.

Luke 4:1-13 is the story of Jesus' temptation that not only teaches us about the devils tactic but also the power of God's Word and spirit to overcome. In the modern world the devil is disguised himself in sublunary elements which often brainwashes us and we end up hooked. I know it is a acrid pill to swallow but I want you to answer honestly. How often do you listen to secular music in contrast to religious music? How much time do you spend on your phone vs on your Bible? How many cuss words do you say in a day? How often do you tell your friends about God's word vs gossip? Well, it is saddening that most people are falling in the negative category.

Drinking alcohol, taking drugs and thrill killing is the new "cool". Pornography and sex before marriage has been normalized yet lust is clearly forbidden in the Bible. Our world is run by hatred, envy, jealously, greed and prejudice, just to mention a few. We try to bend the Bible to conform to our worldy actions instead of remoulding ourselves to abide in God's word. LGBTQ has become a fast growing community rising from 1% - 4.5% of the population. As Christians we are not  to judge other people's actions or opinions as nobody is perfect before the Almighty but we cannot hide the fact that it is a sin. No I'm not homophobic!!! Neither will I sugarcoat it; "hate the sin not the person". We are suppose to share and embrace God's word in a truthful manner.

Once we make these evil things seem normal, we are more likely to do even worse things. We sugarcoat them making it seem "not that big of a deal" . What we do not notice is that the pleasure or satisfactory feeling we get is short and temporary unlike God's care which is eternal . Soon it will all vanish like gossamers of autumn eve.

I'm not here to condemn or judge anyone   but to spread the truth according to God's word. He wants us to change our ways and be righteous. Whatever behaviors or addictions and habits that you don't seem to overcome ; present them to him and he will fight for you. Discipline yourself to the actions that align with your long term goals. This will not only be spiritual but it will also change dopamine production in your brain. Your past shouldn't contradict your change or future ; It doesn't matter what sin you had committed, when you repent and commit yourself to change without fear your life will take quite a different path. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Therefore the negative things that we're clinched on have a negative impact on us and our relationship with God. We are enslaved in the vice, sin, habit or addiction.

Do yourself a favor and change to the righteous. Seek God and free yourself from worldly sin. Focus more on your growth spiritualy, mentally, emotionally, physically and watch your life make a major unbelievable turn.
