Everyone has a belief or something they trust in.For example we believe that the earth is an oblete spheroid even though we haven't accounted for it personally. From the proofs and theories made by experts we then have an idea and believe that that is the earth's shape. As human beings, when someone tells you something negative or positive about someone else, even before you meet them you already have a picture of how they are. Sometimes it might be a manipulation or just that it's another persons view. That is how the neurotransmitters registers in your brain and it produces dopamine, serotonin or the right emotional hormone in response .
As a Christian, sometimes you've questioned God's existence or atleast gave it a thought. Often at times we are also teased by the "anti-christ ", how do you believe in someone you can't see or touch? Think of it this way, when you go to the art gallery museum you will see beautiful pictures, sculptures or even decorative art pieces. What then clicks in your mind? Of course you'll want to know the person who painted the gigantic masterpiece placed at the center . Even though the painter is not right there, his name is. It is also quite obvious that the painting cannot exist without a painter. The same way you'll see Central Park Tower and other tall buildings in New York but the architects and constructors won't be right there. The building is then a landmark that signifies the existence of the constructors.
Now, how many "natural" landmarks do we have here on earth? Natural in that, we didn't take part in its creation. Quite a lot for sure. The mountains, lakes, hills, oceans, vegetation, birds, animals and even us human beings. Quite innumerable. Similar to the paintings and buildings, all these things cannot fairly exist on their own. It only symbolizes one thing, that there was a powerful creator ; God!
God's power is much more than just the things he created. He extends his love to us and wants us to believe in him wholeheartedly. He has a plan for us and opens ways even where seems to be a dead end. Man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the inside. Have faith, put all your trust and commit to him all your plans. I'm sure you've ever made a plan to go somewhere or meet with someone but it didn't go as you imagined it to be. Well guess what, the Lord says that we make the plans but he has the final say. Commit your aspirations, plans and desires to him and he surely will grant your wishes according to his will.
For this reason I tell you: when you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for.
Mark 11:24 GNBBelieving in God is not determined by how often you go to church, watching about him or just reading about him. It entails full immersion in his word and dependency on his power. No I'm not implying that you shouldn't go to church or be religious, in fact all these greatly supplements your spiritual growth. Belief is just not enough, even the devil believes in God's existence and that's why he works against it. For this reason your faith ought be stronger and established on firm spiritual roots. Don't just hear it, experience it. I'm sure experiencing a hike at Kings Canyon, California or a sunbath at Diani Beach, Kenya is more fulfilling than just reading books or watching videos about it.
Experiencing his embrace also comes along with "fringe benefits" ; love, joy, peace, favors, blessings, forgiveness, mercy;inter alia. [Tbh this is a 100% off offer<favor>]. His spirit brings so much contentment and complacency. More like when you have a fight or a tag of war challenge and you're aware that the strongest person is in your friend group. It sires a lot of confidence and anticipation to win the challenge. Jesus Christ in this case is the strong friend we all need in our lives.
Well, he's presumably like a God, parent, Gurdian and a best friend all in one who is always there and caters for our needs, be it financially, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically or even academically.
Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." (John 20:29, ESV)
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank you for all your blessings and favors you've showered upon me. I'm grateful for my credence and faith in you. I pray that you may help me have a deeper understanding of your word and stronger relationship with you. Lead me through the path of righteousness, that I may do what pleases you. In the Jesus name I pray, Amen.
