Take It Back

Prologue

"You can't live in fear, because it doesn't protect you from anything"

"Hide". "Hide", those were the only words I'd heard for an entire year. Everyday, the leader would be scared someone would notice us. But they never did. I didn't want to live in fear, but it was our only choice. What else could we do? We had to trust our masters. We've been all over the world, travelling from place to place, not being allowed to stay in one place for too long, "not safe" our masters say.

I've never actually relaxed in my life.. always running. Part of me liked it, everyday was a new experience, something unexpected, I loved it. The feeling that danger could be lurking around every corner excited me, well it used to. Now it feels like injustice, why should we have to struggle to survive whilst half of the population are sleeping in the comfort of their beds. But even though it seemed unfair, we were family to each other, and as the quotes goes, home is where the family is.

Things started to change as June came by. We were being attacked, more fights broke out among us. It was painful to watch. Something was wrong. We had already lost many of us in these seemingly pointless battles, this couldn't keep going.

That's how me and these two other shifters I didn't know that well and ended up going on a mission to figure out what's wrong and stop it from happening. We were Chosen by the masters so we couldn't back out.

Let's start from the very beginning, the monthly meeting of July and end with a new year with more bad news.
