After a day of training, once again, Izuku talked to one person. When I say that I mean actually talked, not yelled at them for being stupid.

That one person was Uraraka. She was one of the few to not really care about Izuku being quirkless.  A kid named Kirishima tried to talk to him a few times. Izuku ignored him.

He was walking back from the locker room after getting dressed when someone tapped his shoulder.

"What do you not understand about me ignoring— oh." Izuku said realizing it was Uraraka.

  "Hi!" She said.

  "Hi." Izuku responded.

"Wanna go do something?" She asked.

Izuku was a little surprised. Sure, she talks to him, but hang out with him!? He never expected anyone to want to.

"Uh... sure..?" He half asked. Uraraka was confused with that response but took it as a yes.

"Great! What you wanna do?" She asked.

"R-Right now!?" Izuku asked as the two left the building.

"Well, why not? We're already together." Uraraka responded.

  "Um... okay..." Izuku replied.

Izuku being hated, a loner, soulless, and angry all went down the drain now. He didn't act like he did in UA or around other people. He was actually nervous for the first time in a while.

They walked for a while without talking. They ended up in the city centre and still didn't say a word.

  That's when Uraraka spoke up.

"So... What's your family like?" She asked.

"Oh, you know, fathers been gone my entire life, my mother doesn't think I'll become a great hero even thought I'm here. What about you?" Izuku asked.

Uraraka looked at him for a second.

  "Are you... okay?" Uraraka asked.

  *Do I look okay?*

"Yeah." Izuku responded. His eyes were lifeless once again. He was still broken.

"Oh... right... anyway, my parents are out on a contract right now. They're all the way in America! It's super big and we'll get a good amount of money for this." She said. Izuku nodded as he still looked forward.

"Why did you become a hero?" Uraraka asked.

  Izuku's eyes widened.
He wasn't prepared for this type of question.

"To save people." He lied. Like before, that dream was long gone. He just wanted to prove everyone wrong and show how powerful he could be without a quirk.

"Oh, that's nice! It may seem selfish, but I do it for money." She said. Izuku looked at her. His face showed no emotion, but his thoughts...

*Why? I though you were actually better than them...*

"Before you say anything, I know it's selfish, but my family really needs it. We're kind of poor right now, and that's why they're always gone for work." Uraraka said. Izuku blinked a few times.

"Okay. That makes sense." Izuku said. He thought it was fine. It was selfish to get money to be rich, it was not to actually sustain your life. Izuku thought it was fine. She was saving her family so then she can save the world.

"So, what are we going to do exactly?" Izuku asked.

"Well, I don't know..." She responded.

The two walked around for a while.

They ended up reaching the beach, which was still riddled with garbage everywhere.

"That sucks." Izuku said looking down. Garbage everywhere. Nobody was down there.

"That's horrible. Someone needs to do something. It's been like this for a while." Uraraka said.

"You know, your quirk could do a pretty good job at that." Izuku said.

Uraraka looked at him in confusion.

"Zero Gravity. You can just float things away. It would be pretty easy." Izuku said. Uraraka nodded.

"Maybe some other time, but not right now..." Uraraka said. The two stood there watching waves crash against rusty metal and sand. That was stopped when they heard someone's stomach growl.

"Oh! I'm getting hungry. Let's get something!" Uraraka said. Izuku nodded. The two walked off back into the city and found a takeaway which was popular. They ordered their food and took a seat on a bench.

"So.. I have to ask... why did you decide to hang out with me?" Izuku asked. Uraraka took a bite out of her food and thought for a moment.

"I don't know. It seemed like you haven't hung out with anyone for a while." Uraraka said. Izuku clenched his fist.

*So it's pity? That's what it is?*

"You also seem nice to hang out with. I can confirm from today." She said.

Izuku looked at her in confusion.

"How? I was rude to all of you. I have no nice traits or mannerisms." Izuku said.

"You don't have nice features being shown. For example, I've never seen you smile." Uraraka said. Izuku sighed.

"I don't understand why you hang out with me. Have I done anything for you?" He asked.

"Well, you did save me. Plus, all your points make sense. You're right all of the time." Uraraka said, gesturing wildly with her arms.

"Okay, sure, but you're not doing this for me. How do you know I'm enjoying this?" Izuku asked.

"Well, you agreed to come." Uraraka said. Izuku sat there for a second. He sighed.

"I have to get home. It's getting pretty late." He said as he got up.

"Oh. Okay! Bye! See you tomorrow!" Uraraka waved. Izuku just walked away home. He opened the front door to see Inko watching TV. Inko noticed Izuku.

“Oh my goodness, Izuku! I thought you ran away! Where were you?” Inko asked.

  “Walking around.” Izuku responded.

“Why didn’t you tell me? I was worried sick!” Inko asked.

“I didn’t know you started caring.” Izuku said as he walked up the stairs to his room.

He dropped his bags. He walked over and picked up a few weights and started lifting them. He had to stay in shape and get stronger. If he didn’t, then his chances of being a hero would drop to zero...
