Alice
No matter what I did, that dream of the blond boy wouldn't leave my mind. I did so many things, crazy things, to get it out of my head, that I'm pretty sure Nina and Cass think I've lost it.
"Dude, you ok?" Nina asked as she rubbed my shoulder. I'm surprised that I didn't realize how many people were staring at us.
"Yeah... I'm good." I whispered as averted my eyes in hopes that everyone else would mind their own business, and thankfully, they did.
"What's up, Kyle?" Cass grinned.
"I hate you." I laughed just as the bus came to a stop. It had started to rain down hard as we all got off the bus and was sent to our temporary rooms. My room was sapphire blue color, overlooking a beautiful garden that I could just barely see through the rain.
"Dinner will be brought up in ten minutes." A woman said as I nodded and went into the gorgeous bathroom to change."Dinner is served." The woman said as I thanked her and she left just for Cass and Nora to enter with their food.
"Thank goodness, I thought I was going to have to eat alone." I smiled as they sat down with me at the table. They were just about to leave when knock sounded on the door. Cass answered it to find Princess Zendaya on the other side.
"Oh, excuse me. I must have the wrong door-." She started before I stood up and her eyes locked onto mine.
"Allie?" She asked, almost out of breath.
"Huh? No, your Highness, my name is Alice." I tired to curtsy to her as she came in and sat down at the little table.
"Your full name?" She asked, more eager then last time. I looked at Cass and Nora as they tried hold back their laughter.
"Alice Marie Raine." I sighed before remembering who I was talking to. "Your Highness." I bowed my head.
"I didn't know her as much as Tom did, he'd know just by looking at her." She said to the lady that brought dinner to me.
"If I may, your Highness?" I asked as she nodded. "I'm going to guess you're thinking I'm the missing princess?" She nodded again. "To be honest, your Highness, I don't believe I am." I frowned.
"Wouldn't you know?" She asked?
"I was in a car accident when I was 8, your Highness, I don't remember a thing before I woke up, 6 months later." I shrugged as Cass placed her hand on my shoulder. "I'm ok." I smiled softly at her.
"So, you could be?" The princess asked.
"More people have been coming up to me calling me 'your Highness' so... I might be. I mean, no one in my family has ever had red hair, all blondes and brunettes." I debated whether or not I should be saying these things. I'm almost certain I'm not, but at the same time, mother either goes pale or gets extraordinarily enraged when anyone mentions royals or some stranger thinks I'm a princess, so... maybe?
"Would you be willing to do a test?" She asked.
"Like a DNA test?" I questioned as she nodded.
"Yes, she'll do it." Nora jumped into the conversation.
"I was going to say that anyway." I rolled my eyes at her.
"I'll fetch it, my lady." The lady bowed before scampering off.
"So, your Highness, how long have you known... uh, the missing princess?" Cass asked as she nudged me.
"First off, her name is Alessandra Aurora Elizabeth Marie D'Amore, Princess of Italy, 2nd in line for the throne." She started. "But everyone called her Allie... well everyone but Prince Thomas of England. He and the princess were very close, even closer then she was to her older brother. Tom and I meet her on the day of her christening. Oh, she was such a beautiful baby. Everyone adored the little girl, but anyone could see that Tom was already in love with the princess. Tom had always been such a romantic, but the day he met her, everyone knew one day they would marry, especially their mother's. They could see the look on Tom's face the moment he saw the girl and the only word that comes close, is love." She explained.
"How come you know this?" Nora asked.
"My mother told me. I was starting to catch feelings for the boy, but everyone already knows he won't marry anyone but her. Now we're just strictly friends, along with Haz, his lord in waiting." She smiled as my heart fluttered.
"Sis, the maids asked me to bring this dow- Is... is that...?" Princess Lauranna asked as she stared at me.
"Might be, lets see." Princess Zendaya said as she opened the kit and got the swab out.
I took it and rubbed it on the inside of my cheek, shivering from the weird feeling, before taking it out and putting in the container.
"Alright, it should come back in a month and a half." The lady said as my stomach dropped.
"A month and a half?" I asked.
"We have to go back in a month." Cass said.
"What? No." Lauranna frowned.
"Sorry, your Highness, but we have to go back home to the states, we have to get back to our jobs." Nora frowned as the young princess cringed at the word jobs. I let out a soft laugh before Zendaya asked for my number and email before we went to bed to rest up before we get to go to the UK in the morning.***
It was a little chilly out today, but the sky was clear and the channel was calm.
"Even if you really aren't the princess, it was a pleasure meeting you, Alice." Zendaya and her sister smiled at me as I curtsied to them.
"Could I ask you for a selfie?" The princess asked as I smiled.
"Sure, I'd love one." I laughed as I crouched down to get in her frame and smiled as she snapped a few and thanked me before Cass, Nora, and I boarded the boat. I nodded my head to the royals, that I had somehow made friends with, just as the boat started to sail away from Norway and towards the UK.There was so much to do, and over the course of the month, we did it all; ate the food, visited every monument, caught a glance at the Palace, which seemed familiar, and just hung out like we did in Hawaii that one time over the summer.
