All hours of the day she sat,

talking, laughing, watching, listening,

to the family in the parlor.

In the walls they lived,

on the screens they sat.

True family they were not.

At night she slept with seashells in her ears,

murmuring untold tales,

speaking into the night, never quieting.

She rose to only start again.

Mindless and brainwashing,

she sat, talking and listening to people from afar.

Familiar strangers, family.

They were her life, her family.

So, when it came time to choose,

she decided them over love.

Betraying the one she swore to love.

Abandoning him to the flames,

she left to be with the family on the walls.

Finally she saw the mistake she made,

to late to change the decision,

she saw what she had become.
