How could I have been so stupid? Sam thought.
Quinn had saved his girlfriend's life.
He ran up to Mercedes and pulled her into a hug.
They pulled apart, Mercedes looking confused.
"Quinn told me the whole thing. I'm so glad you're alive!" Sam said.
Mercedes turned to Quinn and mouthed What?
Just go with it, Quinn mouthed back as Sam pulled Mercedes into a hug again.

Quinn pulled Mercedes down the hall and into an empty classroom.
They started kissing.
Mercedes ran her hands through Quinn's hair.
Quinn pushed the darker-skinned girl against a table as they kissed.
She had one hand grabbing Mercedes's hair and the other on her waist.
Mercedes pulled away for air, breathless.
She turned her head and leaned in to kiss her again when Sam burst into the classroom.
