"Mercedes, how could you?" Sam yelled.
The girls pulled away from each other, looking shocked.
"Sam, I..." Mercedes began.
"I don't wanna hear it," he said angrily.
"And you!" he yelled suddenly, pointing at Quinn.
"You are a backstabbing liar! You pretend you're all nice and sweet but you cheated on Finn, you cheated on me, and now Mercedes is cheating on me with you!"
Quinn burst into tears.
"I'm sorry, Sam," she cried.

"Save it," Sam snapped.
"You lied to me. You both think I'm stupid.
Well, I'm not. I'm smart enough to break up with you," he snarled at Mercedes.
He stormed out the door.
Mercedes ran to Quinn and buried her face in her chest.
She sobbed and pulled away,
Quinn kissed Mercedes's salty, tear-stained cheeks.
"Shh, it's OK," Quinn whispered.
"No, it's not OK. It will never be OK," Mercedes yelled, running out of the room.
