Naija High School Life {On Hold}

Tiana's POV

Knock knock knock
I turned around restlessly wondering who could be knocking on my door buy this time of the day.

"Christiana, biko stand up from that bed before I break this door. You want sleep there all day when" Mum shouted.

I realized that it was already 7:00am, not after checking my watch though. I hurriedly stood up from the already knowing how mum would react if I made her to continue knocking on my door.

"Morning Mom" I greeted her. She didn't respond, that was when I realized that I didn't greet her in our native language. Typical naija mom

"I'm sorry, otoufe ma"

She gave me this glare that made me shiver. "I thought you will not correct yourself. Common stop lazing around and go and get ready for school. Look at the time I'm sure your mates have already started class and you are still sleeping. Infact let me come back here and find out that you are not done, I will drag you out naked to school today".

Just like other Nigerian mom's, my mom never failed to over exaggerate whenever she was scolding me. I hated it so much. I rolled my eyes at her but made sure she didn't see my or else I was screwed.

I rushed to the bathroom to have my bath and then brought out my perfectly ironed uniform.

Just to let you know, I loved my uniform so much. It was a navy blue pencil skirt which fitted me perfectly and bright out my curves, with a with shirt and red tie.

After dressing up, I made sure everything I needed for school were complete before going downstairs to have my breakfast.

When I got downstairs, my siblings weren't even half way done with their breakfast and my mom wanted to break my head just because I woke up late.

"Christiana, Michael and sharon, you people should go and collect money for lunch from your dad, Biko I don't have strength to start cooking and you Sharon make sure you cook something to"

Sharon was my elder sister. I loved her so much because we always had something to discuss and she also gave me good advices. She was in the 200 level in University and she was to go back to school next week, which means she was all alone at home.

"Aje sir"

I and Michael greeted my dad. He just smiled at us.

"Good morning to you too, I know you want money"

He said while smiling then handed one thousand naira to us each.

"Enjoy your day oo" he said before finally releasing us.

We jumped into the car and mom drive us to school.

Heyyo, so this was the first chapter and I hope you guys enjoyed it. I'll try as much as possible to put in more words.
