The rest of the week had gone by fast, the once brutally hot summer atmosphere now turning chill as the once vibrant trees began to grow warm colors.

The life she lived before that summer day in the school storage room felt bland now, a world of black and white. All it took was a few moments with him in a heavy rainstorm, and then she was addicted. Addicted to the high she had when the rain hit her clothed skin, and the feeling that roared inside her chest when he'd say her name. It was impossible to put her finger on, but the feeling he gave her was something she'd never imagined was possible.

Her heart was longing for the excitable boy who always seems to bring trouble wherever he goes. Whether she liked it or not.

Aoi groans, rolling over onto her side while the morning sun beats down on her relentlessly through the sheer curtains on her window. Her alarm clock screams, and she can already feel a headache nagging in her mind when she finally gives in and slips out of bed.

Dragging herself over to her desk, she lifts her cell phone groggily. It's Friday now, marking an official week since the day the two students had met in the school storage room. That afternoon feels ancient now, because back then; he was nothing more than just a stranger.

The home screen displays a missed call, and still exhausted, she reluctantly dials it.

Her phone lets out a few flat beeps, before being interrupted by shuffling and a loud scream. The shout scares her awake, and almost causes her to fall off her chair and into the floor.

"What the hell, Inosuke?" Aoi screams, her voice coming out a hundred times louder than in person on his side of the phone. "Why did you call me earlier at 4am, and why when I wake up call you back, I'm greated with a scream!"

The shuffling over the phone continues for a moment, and finally some words become audible. "It's not my fault I screamed! Zenitsu was chasing me!"

Aoi's shocked expression falls flat, and she silently hits the red icon at the bottom.

"It's too early for this." She sighs, setting down the phone once again on the desk before leaving the room.

The school portion of her day goes by fast, a blur of studies and socializing until the clock finally strikes noon, announcing the time for honors students like herself free to leave the campus. Aoi quickly makes her way down the stairs, eager for her plans after school.

But as if he was waiting, on the second flight of stairs stands Inosuke; his school shirt only half buttoned and his hair ruffled as his green eyes search the stairways, looking for someone.

"It doesn't look like Agatsuma is chasing you to me."

Inosuke jumps at her stern voice echoing through the hallway, and he turns quickly before pointing at her like she's some kind of bug.

"There you are!" He yells, quickly covering his mouth when Aoi comes rushing up the stairs.

"Shhhh!" Aoi hisses, shushing him quickly. "You never bother me in school, so why now!?"

His face grows pink at her close proximity, but lucky for him, she's too busy searching the hallway for any witnesses to notice.

"Idiot!" He whisper shouts, making her turn back to him quickly with a frown.

"Don't call me that! What do you want?"
