BANG, CRACK!
I woke up, gasping. Not a thunderstorm, I thought frantically. I never liked these! Suki, as if sensing my unease, whipped her tail, brushing my arm, but she slept on. I smiled, then cringed as another blast sounded from the sky.
I left Nami and Suki to sleep, then tiptoed to the cabin door. I opened it, stepped out, closing the door, which is when the wind really hit. I yelped, but it was lost in the roaring wind. My hair was flying everywhere. I ran to the other side of the ship, looking up at the Crow's Nest, knowing Zoro would be, maybe, still awake. I gripped the ladder...
And suddenly the ship lurched, throwing me to the deck. I screamed as pain flared all along my back like white-hot wires pressing to my skin. It blinded me for a minute. As the storm passed and the sea calmed, I lay on the deck limply. The wind began to blow softly again, the sky going slowly, slowly back to midnight blue, a sure sign of the oncoming dawn.
I tried to roll over, crying out as the pain flared again. Great, I probably tore something!, I thought. "Hello?" Nami's voice called. "N-Nami..." I whispered, but she didn't hear me. A yawning Zoro rounded the corner, freezing when he saw my soaked, paralyzed, terrified, bloody (when did that happen?) form. "What the Hell, are you alright?!" He shouted, helping me up. I groaned at the pain, but managed to stand up. "I-I got scared of the storm. I, uh...I was gonna come talk to you, I guess, but the waves threw me to the ground. I think I tore something..."
Zoro sighed, "Crazy child. C'mon, let's get you fixed up."
After Nami fixed me up, Usopp, who was on watch, cried, "Land ahead!" While the others went to investigate, I stayed with Suki, who was seeming to glare at me. "I'm sorry, Suki, I didn't wanna wake you up." She now has an understanding look.
*....ON THE ISLAND....*
We all wanted to explore (Well, Zoro stayed and slept), so we split up, and Sanji went with me. "I can go by myself." I told him. "I know, but we don't know these people. I just wanna keep you safe." So I let him join me.
As Sanji stopped to look at something, I didn't notice and kept going until I was hopelessly lost. "Crap..." I muttered. "Lost, little girl?" A cold voice said softly. I turned—and yelped, falling flat on my ass. A Marine! I turned to run. He gave chase, shouting for me to stop. Like I was going to, idiot.
I sped around the corner, smacking straight into a man—and he grabbed me. "Let me go, you—"
He muffled my screams, dragging me into an alley, and we watched the Marine race by, confused to where I went.
"Who are you, let me go!" I slapped his cheek. He grew angry and shoved me down. "Little 女顔の子!" He screamed. I don't know very much Japanese...
"あなたの首を折るよ!!" He reached forwards, strangling me! 'I can't breathe!'
"HEY!"
Zoro!
He glared the man down, who ungracefully dropped me. I cried out, sobbing at the pain in my back. "SHUT UP!" The man kicked me. Zoro whipped out his sword. "Touch her again, I dare you!" He yelled, beyond pissed now. The man laughed–then screamed as I shifted into a bear, biting his arm. "AAHHH, GET OFF, GET OFF, HELLLPPP!" I released him, changing back to my human form. Zoro stood there, shocked. "Leave!" I yelled, and he ran. I wobbled. Zoro quickly caught me. "Let's head back." He had to carry me as my vision swam. Then I was out.
