Josh has always had a knack for taking my breath away. Before he lets go of a hug, he always squeezes tighter, leaving you thirsty for more. "You ready to go? You look beautiful." I glance up into his eyes.
"Yeah, let me grab my shoes." To lunch, I wore a yellow sundress with a large sunhat, and black flats. Josh drives us to my favorite pizza restaurant, called Antonio's. Josh and I know Antonio personally, so when we enter he greets us with his friendly italian accent. "Jennifer! Joshua! Come in and have a seat in the back!" His smile stretches across his face like the Mississippi river stretches across New Orleans. He holds out his hand to guide me to our table. I glance over to Josh who stares at the floor and smirks. I wonder what he is thinking about. We sit at a table by a window and the sunlight reflects off of his eyelashes, catching my attention every time he glances at the menu. "I think we should just get the norm. Shall we?" He peers up, catching my stare. I lower my eyes, embarrassed. I nod, smiling. "Jennifer Shrader Lawrence, did I just catch you staring?" I giggle. Antonio shows up and takes our order. Its brought out within the next few minutes. (Antonio must've known) I begin to dig in, entranced by the savory smell of pepperoni and cheese when Josh stops me, and raises his glass of red wine. "A toast" he says with a wink, "to us, the best friends, the brother and sister type deal" We say cheers in synch and knock our glasses together. I know why he did that. As we finish, Antonio lets us know that its on the house, that we are his best customers yet. We thank him, gather our things, and head out. "Do you want to come to my house?" Josh asks. I nod, once again noticing the glint of the warm sun on his lashes.
