A Sin To Fall
"Please, you must change the rules!" Escanor yelled as his platform, shared with the pig, which had risen up to meet Gowther and Jericho's stone platform. "I've known Sir Gowther since forever...and though I've just met Miss Jericho, I regard both of them as dear friends!" He dropped to his knees to look down onto the two demon's on their stone hand sculpture, "I can't bring myself to kill them!"

Gloxinia's ruby hair fell back down over his shoulders as he laughed, "That's what makes it so fun!" While you watched through Elizabeth's eyes, you felt a tugging on your arm and your spirit form looked back, leaving Elizabeth's body looking the other way. The real Elizabeth, well.. her consciousness at least, was waiting to take her body back, smiling kindly at you.

"Thank you, for fighting for me" The princess smiled and your fingertips phased past each other as you nodded and glided past her, extending great wings of light to shoot yourself back up to your empty body, that stood motionless looking down at everyone. "You'll do whatever hideous thing to make your own wish come true" Gloxinia turned his nose up, his eyes falling half-lidded to crop the black-holes that looked more like voids to the soul, than windows, to them. "That's the kind of despicable race you humans are, see?"

"Gloxinia!" You raised your voice, now back in your own body, your fingers were practically itching to latch around Gloxinia's stupid neck and smack the living crap out of him, what sick game did these commandments think they're playing at? Was this all a big distraction set to hold your attention while something else ran under the works? Either way... you would have no more of it.

"Sacred angel!" The dead fairy rolled his head to the side to look up at you, "to what do I owe this interruption?" His tone was flat, like you had somehow undermined him by calling him out while he was in the midst of scaring Escanor's moustache right off his face.

Meliodas and Ban watched from their vantage point; the blonde was as still and emotionless as he usually was. Even to an intelligently trained eye, he was unreadable, so, as his emerald orbs flickered over to you, there wasn't an Evil Eye in the world that could see into his heart. "You owe me a dance" You hissed through your teeth.

The whole arena went into chaos as you tackled the fairy out of the sky, an explosion of light sending a wave of energy up into the platforms as the two opposing forces collided. Like a small sun, the entire arena was illuminated. Your fingers dug into his slim shoulders and as Gloxinia flapped his colourful wings you almost felt as if you were trapped in a giant kaleidoscope, that was, until you both hit the ground. Tears were welling up in your eyes, either from the eye trauma of being trapped amongst so many flashing colours and black shapes, or for some unannounced sadness that pulled at your chest.

"You need to leave these kingdoms, this place, alone!" You yelled as you felt the tangle of spiked vines begin to wrap like living cords around your wings, which stretched out of Gloxinia's wing-cocoon like web from a spider. A little stretch of white, slowly being constricted and wrapped by dark green vines with purpose of their own.

Inside the dark place you and the dead fairy had fallen into, all you could see were the reflections of each other off his strange, alluring wings. You could feel your hands gripping his forearms, and as you turned and kicked and kneed towards each other, you only landed feeble blows. It was like neither of you were there, drowning under this vine sea, trapped in a submarine of rainbow illusions. You could feel the demon in front of you, growling and trying to reach out to claw at your arms that were confining him, but only see him in the coloured lenses of his own wings.

Far above, a small war had ensued. Without one of the ruling judges of the cruel sport that was a 'Great Fighting Festival', and the light that had blown from you had somehow triggered Escanor into transforming, and he had spent the little time he had before his energy faded blasting Drole through the enormous, granite set of hands he'd built this dangerous 'game' out of.
