I Am Super

4: The School For The Powered

One year later...
I returned to my dorm, to be greeted by Zach an Josef sitting on there bed's, watching cyanide and happiness on the PS3. "how was super power class thing?" Asked Josef, not taking his eyes of the screen. " How many times have i told you, it's telekinetic training class."
"Sounds like super power class to me"
"Uhg. I'm going to have a shower, and when I come back out, you better be nice, or else."
"Or else what."
" I will give you a telekinetic wedge."
He jumped, and turned to me. " I thought we agreed,"
" I would stop, IF you were polite, which, you are not being right now."
I interrupted. He spluttered for a answer, but i just walked into the bathroom. I turned on the shower, and thought about the day everything changed. How I flew away from the SWAT with Zach and Josef in tow. How, after hiding in that tunnel, being discovered by teens and led to this place. After five years, I had really gotten used to, and strengthened, my powers. Ya, powers. With a s. according to my teachers, every super has more than one power. Know, along with telekinesis, i have super strength, the ability to make things hot/cold, and...
" Dude, you think you can make Steve's eyes on my T-shirt white? I want him to look like hero-brine."

The next day, i woke up feeling refreshed. when I looked around the room, Josef and Zach had already gone to school. Even though they lived on the SFTP (School For The Powered) campus, they went to a high school a couple kilometres away. I Eased my way out of bed, and took a shower. It relaxed my tired muscles, and when I was done showering, I felt refreshed. After, i got dressed, brushed my teeth, ran my hand through my hair, and was ready. As i walked out the door i was greeted by my girlfriend, Kasey. "Hi" she said, smiling like always, and she kissed me on the cheek. "Hi Kasey" I replied, and we went to class. when she wasn't looking, I stole a glance at her. She was tall, red hair, and brown eyes. She had a smile that cold melt the polar ice caps. Seriously, Seeing as she had the power of fire/heat. Her power is different from mine, though. I can heat things up to probably waters boiling point. But She, man, She can create fire, and can make things so hot, she can boil black matter. So, i can truthfully say she's hot. Kasey and I are a few of the really powerful supers at the school. And, did i mention, this school holds all the supers in the world? Ya.
After we get to our school, she gives my hand a squeeze and turns to me ether friends. I had two classes, temperature control, and telekinetic training class. I had one class from 9:30 to 11:30, then lunch, then at 12:30 I had my next class till 2:30. i walked into temp control (my first class) and sat down I'm my desk. After a test on the boiling points of various liquids, iIwent to lunch. I grabbed a empty tray and sat down at a table with Kasey. "Hey." I said, tapping the menu on my tray. The food instantly appeared. "How was temp control?" She asked. "I had a test"
"Did you study?"
"No"
Do you think you got a good mark?"
"No"
"Can you say anything other than 'no'?"
"No"
I looked up at her and smiled. "So," she said, leaning towards me. "you going to check out the" she looked around to see if anyone was listening. "laboratory on Friday?" My smile dropped into a frown. I went back to my food. "I have been packing for the last month. Of course I'm going."
"You don't have to you know."
"I don't want to discuss this here."
"Please, James, don't. you could get killed."
I dropped my fork into my food. How could a conversation turn so bad so quickly?
"Look, nobody here knows how they became this way. Everyone's parents are dead. Nobody has any leads. Except for me. I need to find out what happened to us. I am going, whether you like it or not." I got up, grabbed my backpack, and walked out of the cafeteria, leaving Kasey staring at my back, mouth wide open.
