Friends?

The next few days were super awkward. Me and karl were both trying to avoid one another. I didn't want to but it was just so awkward.

Chris: hey y/n, so we are doing a bit of remodeling to the house. We are going to have to stay at Karl's.

You have got to be kidding me. Well I guess we will both have to just suck it up and face each other.

We drive over to Karl's place.

Karl: I'm so glad you guys are going to stay with us.
Y/n: yeah same. I smile a little bit.
Chris: yeah we are going to have so much fun!

(Later that day)

Chris: alright time to decide where we will sleep. Karl?
Karl: well you have the couch and an extra bed in my room.
Y/n: Dibs on the couch!
Chris: okay okay calm down. Why are you trying to avoid Karl.
Y/n: what no I am not. (Karl looks at you weird) I swear I am not. I just don't want to be in the way ya know?
Karl: you're not in the way at all y/n if you want you could sleep in my room. No problem.

He grins and I know he is trying to mess with me. We both know I've been trying to avoid him. I smile and say,

Y/n: fine, whatever you want Karl.
Chris: awesome I'll be down here unpacking.

I follow Karl upstairs.

Y/n: really Karl why did you do that down there?
Karl: I have no idea what you're talking about.

He smiles and leads me into the room. I unpack.

Karl: look y/n why do you hate me so much?
Y/n: I don't hate you!
Karl: really? Then why did you run out of the room when I asked you to hang and basically called me gross in front of everyone.
Y/n: i- I didn't want to but I had to.
Karl: that makes no sense , but whatever I don't even care anymore.

He sighs and walks downstairs. Ugh, what did I do!?

Chris: hey guys I'm going to go out for a bit. You guys good here?
Y/n: uh yeah see you later.
Karl: see ya!

Then there were two.

Y/n: so
Karl: so? Wanna play some video games?
Y/n: yeah sure why not?

We then play some video games. We start to get comfortable with each other and it got way less awkward. Maybe this is just what we needed to stop us being mad/confused at one another.

Y/n: Boom I won. Haha you suck!
Karl: hey, I do not!
Y/n: then why did you lose?
Karl: cause I did.
Y/n: whatever.

I was so excited I won that I turned around and hugged Karl. I think we were both surprised, but the hug was the best hug ever. But then I heard someone behind us......
