Chapter 5: The Suicide Note

There was a file left opened on the laptop.... A document titled "Goodbye"... Reluctantly, Brendon popped up the file

Dear Brendon (or whoever is reading this),

If you are reading this right now, I will have or am going to leave this planet..... Why you ask? Because I can't handle the pressure any longer..... I've done my job here as promised.... But I'm afraid all good things must come to and end.... I'm not the tough guy you all expect me to be..... Hope you all can do good without me....

" I'm a bit confused now....what's Shannon gonna do exactly? " Jason asked

"Come on, kids we have no time to waste! We gotta stop Shannon before he hurts himself!" Paula demanded as she picked Brendon and the laptop up off the ground and carried them in her arms

"What do you mean by-"

"SHUT UP JASON" everyone yelled

The foursome ran through the streets, hoping and praying that Shannon was alright but the search had to keep going....because Shannon mattered most!

Shannon stood at a bridge located above a highway.... He contemplated everything that has happened, the fear of another breakdown fillies his mind, along with the bad memories.....he couldn't take it anymore, everything was all a blur, plenty of cars raced down the highway which was the perfect opportunity for him to jump off, the rain started pouring harder and harder as things grew worse

"I guess it's time" Shannon said staring into the highway as all the cars raced by before climbing atop the bridge

Meanwhile Brendon and his friends were still on the hunt for Shannon.... He had to be ok....right?

"I could really go for a snack right about now" Jason mentioned "cuz I'm starting to feel light headed"

" Ugh! Brendon! You and Melissa go find Shannon, I'll take Jason to get a snack" Paula grumbled as she grabbed Jason by the hand

"Brendon....we can't give up" Melissa pleaded "Although Shannon is kind of a jerk, he needs us right now! More than anything!"

" Did it LOOK like I was gonna give up, Melissa?! " Brendon shouted "Because I wasn't! This isn't just about some film were making anymore, Melissa.....this is about someone that needs genuine help! I always knew there was something wrong with Shannon....but I never in a million years knew it was-"

Before Brendon could finish his sentence, Melissa saw Shannon standing on that bridge up ahead

"SHANNON!!!!!" Melissa screamed as she and Brendon ran as fast as they could to try to stop Shannon from what could be the worst mistake he would ever make in his life!

" Shit.... They're onto me..... " Shannon muttered " I'd better make this quick " he said as Brendon and Melissa stopped

"Don't jump, Shannon! It's not worth it at all!" Brendon shouted

" you should talk to my dad! He's a therapist! " Melissa snapped as she and Brendon were just seconds away from their friend before he looked over and said

"Its too late, Brendon" Shannon said before diving off and getting hit by a car

"NO!" Brendon and Melissa said in unison

Melissa called 911 and then Paula..... The clock is ticking
