Chapter 7: The Plan

(Y/N)'s pov

After the incident when Dream became ill me and Chara played near a flowerbed of yellow flowers. As I sat on the flowers I was getting the camera ready for a video while Chara lied down on the flower bed he spoke to me "Hey (Y/N) do you remember when we tried to make that pie?""Huh? Oh, yeah, I remember. When we tried to make butterscotch pie for Dream and Nightmare, right? The recipe asked for cups of butter...but instead we accidentally put in buttercups instead" I said. Chara sat up "It was fun to bake with you though, even if we used the wrong ingredient!" Chara said. "Yeah!, Those flowers got Dream really sick. I felt so bad and we made Nightmare really upset. I should've laughed it off like you did... Um, by the way, where are you going with this? I asked. "That's it (Y/N)!" Chara shouted while standing"I can eat buttercups so you can absorb my soul to cross the barrier! He said smiling. "I...I don't like this idea Chara" I said while I started to cry. "Are... are you crying (Y/N)?" he asks while looking at me with a worried face. "Wh...what? N-no, I'm not...big kids don't cry." I said while looking away with my eyes shut. "We can do this" Chara said with a smile. I looked at him. "Yeah you're right." I said. "You're doubting me-" Chara said with a look when I spoke over him "NO! I'd never doubt you, Chara! Never! I said with a serious voice. He smiled at me and said "We'll be strong and free everyone!" "Y...yeah!" I said with an agreeable face. "We'll become strong! I said as I putted down the camera "We'll free everyone". I stood and said "I'll go get the flowers".

*a few minutes later*

Chara's pov

After (Y/N) agreed to the plan that I came up with to free all monsters in the underground she/he said that she'll/he'll go get the flowers and ran off to go get em. After She/He returned with some buttercups I ate some of them. They tasted horrible but I still ate them. (Y/N) had her/his worried face on when I ate the buttercups. After I ate them I felt ill and was to weak to walk so I fell. (Y/N) was shocked and picked me up bride-style back towards Dream and Nightmare. After we arrived They were shocked to see me in the condition that I was in. They rushed me towards the village hospital where I can rest and recover.

*A few days later*

(Y/N)'s pov

Chara was in the hospital for a few days and he is getting worse. Dream and Nightmare were very worried for Chara. I didn't tell them what our plan was to free all monsters from the underground to reach the surface. "Chara? can you hear me? Nightmare said "We want you to wake up..." "Chara! You have to stay determined! You can't give up. You are the future of humans and monsters..." said Dream. After Dream and Nightmare left the room to grief upon Chara who wasn't waking up but still alive. "Psst...Chara...please...wake up". I started to cry. "I don't like this plan anymore. I...I...no, I said..." I looked at him "I said I'd never doubt you. Six, right? We just need to get six souls...and we'll do it together, right?

Chara's pov

I couldn't open my eyes. I was getting weaker as the hours go by. Dream, Nightmare and (Y/N) stood next to my bedside where I was resting. First Nightmare wanted me to wake up but I couldn't open my eyes. Next Dream wanted me to stay determined not to give up because he said that I was the future of humans and monsters. As I heard them leave the room (Y/N) spoke to me that she/he didn't like the plan that I came up with. Then she/he said that she/he never doubt's me. And said that we'll do it together on getting six more souls to break the barrier. There was something I want to see before I fall down. I opened my eyes and looked at (Y/N) sitting next to me. "(Y/N), can you promise me one thing? I want to see the flowers from my village before I fall down." "I promise you Chara that you will!" said (Y/N). I smiled at her/him and closed my eyes and stop breathing.
