Chapter 1: The first fallen human

Dream's pov

It was another day at the tree  with Nightmare and (Y/N). We let (Y/N) go play with the other kids since she/he is the youngest. I still care for both of them since there my only family that I've got. "DREAM, NIGHTMARE!" (Y/N) yelled. We both looked at her/him. "Can I go explore the ruins near the village?" she/he said. "I don't know little brother/sister" Nightmare said. "There are lots of traps and puzzle's there and you might get hurt". "I promise I will be careful and watch out for any traps and puzzles that I find. I promise" (Y/N) said with her/his fingers crossed. "Hmm" I thought. "Alright you can go but please promise us that you will be careful (Y/N)" I said "We don't want to see you get hurt or worse killed" "I promise I will be careful and that I won't get hurt or killed" (Y/N) said. I hesitated for a moment. "You can go (Y/N) but be back before dark alright?"I said "Alright, see you soon brothers!" (Y/N) said as she walked away from me and Nightmare waving at us. "Please stay safe (Y/N) I thought to myself.

Nightmare's pov

As me and Dream watched (Y/N) walk away towards the village towards to ruins I thought to myself "I hope (Y/N) will come back alright". "Hey bro" Dream said. I looked at him. "do you hope that (Y/N) will come back alright?" I thought for a moment and said "I know that she/he will be alright. Besides she/he is a hybrid with both positive and negative emotions. She/He can handle himself/herself." "I just hope your right. I don't wanna lose any of my siblings." Dream said with a frown. "I know that (Y/N) is determined an strong brother so don't worry about him/her. Alright?" "Okay brother" Dream said with a positive smile. I looked at Dream then the village knowing that some of the villagers would come and hurt him again when Dream isn't around. (Y/N) comforts him after he gets bullied and helped heal his wounds and injuries caused by the villagers since he/she is a hybrid and has magic the same as mine and Dream. Sometimes we have to help him/her control it so she/he can use it for good. "I hope you will come back soon (Y/N)" I thought before taking out my book that I read for him/her every night before she/he sleeps.

(Y/N)'s pov

As my brothers Dream and Nightmare let me walk to the ruins I was in a cheerful mood. I waved towards the villagers as I walked through and towards the ruins. When I arrived at the ruins I stopped and looked at the huge door before entering. I thought to myself "this is going to be epic to explore a new place that I had never visited". Mother has told us stories about the surface and the magical barrier that surrounds the place that we are in. She told us that humans don't often fall down to the underground. She told us about the different SOUL traits of a human being and how monster souls and human souls are different and have different abilities of magic. I used my power of telekinesis (the power to move objects) to open the door because the door was to heave to push on the outside. Inside the ruins were hallways with plants growing around it and monsters who are moving around. As I walked I meet Froggit, Whimsun, Loox, Vegetoid, Migosp, Moldsmal, and a very shy ghost named Napstablook. I sensed negative emotions in him because he was lonely and sad. I decided to comfort him and with the help of positive emotions I turned his frown upside down. After we said our farewells and he disappears I continued to walk through the ruins when I heard a thud. "Huh? What was that" I thought. I continued to walk towards the sound of someone in pain and when I got to the source of the one who is in pain. I looked. I gasped. What was lying on the flower bed in front of me was a human. I looked up and saw the entrance to the underground. I ran towards the human "Oh my you have fallen. Are you alright?" "I think so" the human said as he looked up at me and screamed. "AAAHHHH MONSTER!" he said as he fell backwards after I helped him up . "Please don't move that much, you hit your head hard and you might be bleeding" I said with a worried look. "I am not going to hurt you. I only want to help you" I said in a calm voice. After the human calmed down I offered my hand to help him up. After he took it I helped him up and helped lead him to the end of the ruins. "Once I get you to my brothers, they will surely help you in the condition that you are in alright?" I said. The human didn't respond. "By the way my name it (Y/N), what's yours"? The human paused for a moment and replied "Chara. My name is Chara." "Chara? That is a nice name for a human" I said with a smile as we continued to walk through the ruins.

Chara's pov 

I have lived with the humans for most of my life and was bullied by kids who called me "Monster Lover" or "Freak". I was so tired of it and ran away from home to the mountains where I heard that monsters and hybrids live and when travelers travel to the mountain they don't  come back. I decided to go there to see it for myself. After I got to the top I walked forward and looked around. Not watching where I was walking I tripped on a vine and fell through a big hole that led to the underground. I feel on a flowerbed with my head hurting and my body acing from falling all the way down. I thought I was going to die hear until I heard another voice saying "Oh my you have fallen. are you alright? After hearing another's voice I knew I wasn't alone when I saw her/his face. I was scared and knew that the stories that I have been told about the mountain were real. But she/he didn't look like that she wanted to hurt me or kill me for my SOUL. She/He offered her/his hand to help me up and help me so I took it and she/he helped me walk through the ruins. As we walked she mentioned something about having brothers that could help me in the condition that I am in and knew that if she/he isn't as bad as he was told then her/his brothers might be as well friendly as her. "By the way my name is (Y/N) she/he said "What's yours?" I thought for a moment to think if I should mention my name to her/him and decided to tell her/him since she/he is helping me through the ruins. "Chara, my name is Chara" I replied. "Chara? That's a nice name for a human she said with a smile. I looked at her/him and I smiled back as we headed towards the end of the ruins.
