dialing someone's number had never been harder in jacob's entire life of twenty three years. well, with how shaky his hands were, could you really even blame him?
it shocked jacob how it only took a few rings for him to pick up the phone, forgetting what he was initially going to say to him for a moment or two out of pure shock. honestly, he thought that the male might be busy right now, seeing as this was college and they only shared a morning schedule when it came to times. damn, now he was sorta impressed by his time.
"uhh, hello? did you butt dial me, jacob?" there it is, the stunning voice that made him fall in love over and over again. now he was getting jealous, how did kevin moon sound good even over the phone?
"oh, sorry, i got a bit distracted." technically, jacob wasnt wrong, he just wasnt telling the other the whole truth.
"hm, alright. whatcha calling for?" kevin sounded so relaxed, and it made jacob pout at how he couldnt be feeling the exact same right about now.
"yeah, uh, i was wondering if, well, uhm—"
"jacob, spit it out. you never sound this awkward, especially if its me, are you feeling alright?" part of him wanted to say that, no, he wasnt okay, but he didnt wanna worry the other.
"sorry— but, i was gonna ask if youwannameetup?" oh well, at least he a.) got it out and b.) didnt stutter that time.
"woah there, buddy, slow down. whatd you wanna ask?" well, shit, maybe jacob didnt get it out.
"sorry, again— but i was wondering if youd wanna meet up? it doesnt have to be right now if you dont want thats perfectly fine—" jacob sounded like how an english teacher would read out a run on sentence.
"no no, right now is fine! we can meet at the cafe next to the school and figure out where to go from there?"
"oh! uh, yeah, ill see you in a few?" well, there was no backing out now.
