Later that night Ember and I told Emma what had been happening with my family and I. It was really hard to tell her. But once she grasped the situation she quickly turned from angry to excited in 0.3 seconds.

"This is great! It's like a never ending sleepover! We can stay up late, eat junk food, watch movies..."

Ember suddenly cut Emma off making Emma extremely annoyed.

"No. You won't be getting Ash 24 7. Like it or not we will be sharing her. Even though I don't want to share her I have come to accept sharing her. So I have come up with a plan."

"And what plan is that?" Emma said in an annoyed voice.

"You know Ash was my friend way before she was your friend." Emma said defensively.

"Actually your wrong. Do you not remember how hard it was for Ash to even warm up to you? I mean when Ash was young she was shy and hard to approach. But with you, you where hyper and would make friends pretty quickly with how much you talked and Ash didn't like that."

Flashback

I was playing by myself at the park as my mom watched me in the distance talking with her friend. I was currently making a mountain out of rocks and grass which is when Emma appeared with a all you happy face making her seem extremely intimidating to me.

"Hi! I'm Emma! Wanna play tag?!"

She was practically running around everywhere with another group of kids making me shrink away from her as I ran towards my mom in fright.

"What's wrong sweetie?" My mother spoke softly as she started running her fingers through my hair.

"That blonde girl is scarring me." I tell her fearfully.

"Sigh. Ashtyn, you really have to get over this while being shy thing. Your never going to make any friends if you keep running away from them. And besides Emma's not scary. She's just overly excited and wants to play."

As I listened to my moms calming words I reluctantly looked back at Emma who was trying to gain my attention by doing some flips while laughing. As always though I hid behind my mother not wanting to play with the other kids. Even if she was my moms friends kid.

"Honestly. I never asked for a shy kid. This is going to make growing up very difficult." I her my mom mutter as her friend begin to speak.

"Don't be to hard on her. In fact I kinda wish Emma was a bit more on the shy side but she makes friends everywhere we go. Heck she even made friends with the receptionist at my work the day I had to take her to my job."

As they where talking I noticed another girl reading under a shady tree. I liked reading. Not that I knew how to read but I loved listening to my mother read me stories. She seemed a bit older then me and much more calm but I was far to shy to approach her. When my mom saw me how intently yet shyly I was looking at the book in the girls hands she smiled.

"Ember dear? Could you come over here for a sec?"

I avoided eye contact as she made her way towards my mom looking confused.

"Did I do something wrong?" Ember spoke worriedly.

"No no. It's just, my daughter seems really interested in the book your reading. Do you mind reading it with her?"

She didn't seem all to accepting but nodded her head in agreement anyway. As I sat next to her looking at the pictures I was practically in awe of the red dragon displayed on one side of the pictures while there was a shining silver night on the other.
