Oikawa's brows furrowed when he noticed someone missing from the opposing team. "Is their setter not here for the practice match?"

"She's on the bench." Iwaizumi answered his own setter's question, taking a sip from his water bottle.

"She won't be much help there." Kunimi remarked, his face emotionless as usual.

"Maybe she'll join later on in the match." Kindaichi suggested, joining the conversation.

"Eh," Oikawa shrugged. "Just means less work for the rest of us." Aoba Johsai's setter instantly regretted his words when Iwaizumi's hand met the back of his head. "Ow! Iwa-chan!"

"Coach told us not to underestimate them!" Oikawa rubbed the back of his head, sulking after being scolded by the team's ace. "The more cocky you are, the more they'll use that- the more she'll use that to her advantage!"

"Yeah, yeah. I got it."

When the whistle blowed, both teams got into position. Oikawa made sure to keep his eye on the girl sat on the bench along with the rest of their team. She must be up to something.

"L/N-san, I- I don't think I can do this!"

Needless to say, Aiuchi was a wreck. She'd only recently got used to constantly winning so her nerves had died down. But being up against such a powerful team caused her anxiety to inflate to the point where she was violently shaking.

L/N took the libero's hands into her own. She hated seeing her best friend like this; as adorable as she can be when she gets shy, the nerves that come along with it hurt L/N in the heart area. "Hey, look at me, Saku-chan." Said girl met her setter's eyes, after looking around frantically trying to find something to calm her down. When she looked into her best friend's eyes, she instantly felt at peace. "You can do this."

"B- but-"

"No buts. Aoba Johsai may be strong but we can be stronger."

"But you said that we won't be able to rely on you constantly! What if I mess up? What if I'm bad? What if we lose because of me?!"

"Sakura." Aiuchi was startled by the use of her full first name, especially confused when it came from L/N's lips. "I may tell you where to go, but you're the one who has the agility and speed to go there. And 90% of the time I'm slightly inaccurate with my body language, but you make up for that. Just because you need a little help, doesn't mean you're a bad libero. In fact, I doubt you'd even need my help. In the end, you receive the point. Not me, you. So why don't you get out there and save some points."

Aiuchi was obviously still nervous, but she'd definitely calmed down a lot. That was another one of L/N's talents, calming even the most nervous people down.

The pair rejoined the team, who were preparing themselves for the match. "So captain, what's the plan?" Higashi, a wing spiker, asked.

"At the moment, the plan is for me to sit out the first few rounds and come up with a plan. Ari-chan, you're up." Omori Himari, the team's second setter. Usually, L/N would sit out the first few points of a game to examine the opposing teams body language and tactics in person. During these rounds, Omori would fill in. She wasn't a bad setter at all - she was actually extremely skilled compared to most others, even those older than her - but her skills were nothing like L/N's. She didn't mind being second choice, however, but she couldn't wait until L/N finished high school so she could take over and be the regular setter for 2 whole years. That is, unless someone better than her joins, but let's not think about that right now.

L/N walked over to the bench, bringing her water bottle to her lips as she sat down. Before she could take a sip, she noticed eyes on her. Teams were always confused when she sat out, but she didn't expect any of the boy's teams to even know who she was. For all they know she could just be a pinch server. They could be confused why the girl with a 1 on her shirt was sitting out, but the feeling continued. They must have done their research. She smirked to herself, knowing they knew who she was.

Knowing they feared her.
