"Tsu-chan!" The blonde sighed when his old friend jumped on him, nearly making him fall over with all her force.

"I told you not to call me that." Tsukishima mumbled, a scowl present on his face.

"Which one? Saltyshima or Tsu-chan?" L/N let go of him so that she could stand on her own 2 feet. He was taller than her, a lot taller than her. Man, this boy has grown.

"Both."

"Oh... Can I call you Kei-chan then?"

"No-"

"Kei-chan it is!"

Tsukki rolled his eyes, not bothering to argue any further. It wasn't worth it. L/N would not give up until he said yes to at least one nickname.

"Dashi-chan!" L/N turned to Yamaguchi, making him blush lightly when she ruffled his hair. "You've grown a lot. You both have!" The entire team was now watching in wonder, amazed that someone could be so happy to see someone as salty as Tsukishima. L/N's face morphed into a pout. "You never told me you guys were going to Karasuno. I could have come too!"

"Would you really choose Karasuno over a powerhouse school like Mesunojagā?"

She pondered. "Uhhhh... no..."

"Exactly."

She groaned. She'd missed Tsukki, but not his constant witty and sarcastic remarks.

"Ah, Tobio-chan, glad you could join us." Oikawa walked up next to L/N to join the conversation, or rather start a fight with Kageyama.

"Tobio-chan?" L/N followed Oikawa's line of sight until her eyes landed on the blueberry. "Oh! You're Kageyama, right? King of the Court?"

Kageyama groaned, a tick mark appearing on his forehead. "Don't call me that.

"Hm? Don't call you what? King of the Court?" He sent her a quick glare. "Why not? It's so cool!"

"King of the Court reminds him of his time as a bossy dictator who his junior high team hated." Tsukki answered, a snarky smirk on his face.

"He may have been bossy, arrogant and a little bit stupid, but he had good reason to be." The whole team (plus Oikawa) turned to her with shocked expressions. Kageyama looked her in the eye, silently asking her to continue. "I watched a few of your matches against my junior high. I noticed that everything you said was completely correct, you were just bad at communicating it. I think that if any team had the King of the Court as their less bossy dictator, they'd never lose a game."

Kageyama seemed slightly taken aback by her words. She couldn't really mean that, right? "N/N-chan! You never said anything like that about me!"

L/N giggled when she saw the setter next to her. "Gomen, Tooru-chan. I guess I could say the same to you."

"You guess?!"

L/N's giggles - the ones that made the surrounding setters' hearts flutter - were ceased by a tap on her shoulder. "L/N-san." A small voice addressed her. She turned to see Aiuchi, who retracted into her shirt slightly when all eyes turned to her. "The next practice match is about to start."

"Hai!"

As L/N followed her libero away from Karasuno, Kageyama ran after her. "Wait!" She stopped and turned to face him. "Did you really mean what you said back there?"

She giggled lightly, tilting her head as she gave him a closed-eye smile. "Of course. You're a great setter and you could even be a great captain. You just fall short on the communication."

"Osu. I'll work on my communication and you'll see just how great the King of the Court can be!"

Now it was her turn to be taken aback. She gave him a small smile and a nod. "I look forward to it, King."

The two turned to walk back to their own teams and L/N caught up with Aiuchi. "Saku-chan! Who are we playing against anyway?"

"Fukurodani."

i know I said I should have at least Aiuchi or Uchida out in the next chapter, but I'm super close to finishing Aiuchi and haven't continued her since Friday bc I was busy over the weekend and now I'm sick (IT'S JUST A BAD COLD  DO NOT WORRY) which is fun

but I've found a new obsession of bts

no joke i was talking to my friend and we decided to watch them to make fun of them bc neither of us really liked them but them we realized they were actually kinda good and now I'm in love

so like yay
