It's one of those nights on which we can't sleep so we just stay at the skatepark until late at night. Sometimes not even returning home until 5. We both find comfort in being outside in complete silence, at night. It's our way to calm down. We've always had these weird habits.
Y/n: I'm curious what our future is gonna look like.
Y/n says with an unlit cigarette clamped between her lips. I see the reflection of the moonlight twinkling in her eyes when she looks up at me, her head is laying in my lap. I stroke her hair as I take another puff of my cigarette and blow the smoke up into the sky.
J: what do you mean?
Y/n: I mean that we can't live like this much longer, we're adults without a future.
Y/n says with a nervous chuckle, like she knows it's true but she tries to be optimistic about it.
If I'm being completely honest, she's kinda right. I'm a sad 25 year old drug dealer that could've been in college if I just finished high school. And she's actually really intelligent, but I pulled her into my life and lifestyle and now she can't get out of it anymore. But she seems to like it, so it's okay I guess?
J: why not? I like this lifestyle.
I say as I look up at the empty, dark, weirdly peaceful skatepark.
Y/n: you really have no idea why I didn't want you to light my cigarette huh?
She says chuckling. I look down at her and shake my head while I give her a confused smile.
She takes one of my hands and lays it together with hers on her belly.
Y/n: this mini you needs good rolemodels.
After a few seconds the confused glance on my face turns surprised and exited. My jaw drops when I realize what she means.
J: we- you- are you pregnant?
Y/n: yes silly.
I hug her tightly and plant a kiss on the top of her head. When I let go of the hug I look her in the eyes and kiss her lips.
J: since when do you know?
Y/n: like 7 hours ago
I smile at her.
Y/n: so what about our future?
I laugh a little while taking another puff of my cigarette.
J: I can make a living baby, you will be my wife.
I smile.
J: I wont sell drugs no more.
Y/n: pinky promise?
I stick my pinky up in the air.
J: I'll move us out the city. And I'm taking you with me. Cause if I don't got you, then I got nobody at all.
She smiles at me.
Y/n: alright I guess we won't be such bad influences after all.
J: we won't, I promise. I'll do anything and everything for this little human.
I say as I put my hand on her belly.
Y/n: I love you.
I put a strand of hair behind Y/n's ear and give her a soft kiss on her lips.
J: I love you too.
She smiles once again.
Y/n: Jaden?
J: yes princess?
She looks at me doubtfully.
Y/n: can you promise you stay with me forever?
I look her in her eyes and smile.
J: I'll stay with you, forever.
She smiles back at me.
Y/n: always?
J: always.
I lay down too to look at the thousands of stars in the pitch black sky. Y/n lays her head down on my chest and also looks up at the night sky. I stroke my hand through her shiny hair as we're both just laying there, peacefully stargazing.
