When I walked into the office my newfound friend and coworker were sitting at my desk. I smiled when she caught my gaze. I walked to her and put my bag on the floor, "what's up?" I asked her.

"Not much, just waiting for—" Jazzy was cut off.

"Jasmine and Spencer, my office please," Susan, our boss, called us in.

"That," she pointed to Susan's office.

We walked into her office and I took a seat on the opposite side of Susan's desk. "Next week is a big gala for Anderson Air and I'm putting my two best planners in front of this, as I have my daughter's wedding to plan for next week as well. My two best planners are the both of you."

"What is Anderson Air?" I asked, with my Alabama accent slipping through.

"Anderson Air is a worldwide shipping company and this event next week is very important and all of the proceeds go back to the community in various ways. The founder of the company is David Anderson, his son is now running it. You two have a meeting with the son, Bennett Anderson, and the VP, Charlie Jones at noon today. The meeting is at 4th and Grange, I can't remember what it's called," Susan waved her hand in the air, dismissing the minor details.

Jasmine, a.k.a. Jazzy, nodded, "do you know how many people are attending?"

"Not exact number, but somewhere between 500 and 700." Susan turned towards me and gave me a little smile, "you think you're up for it, country girl?"

I gave a little smirk back, "700 is as big as my hometown, I came here for the city. I think I can do it."

She gave a firm nod and Jazzy giggled, "alright ladies, I'm trusting you so don't let me down. You're both dismissed."

We both walked back to my desk, her desk was directly across from mine, "well little lady, are you ready to get your Alabama boots dirty in some New York City mud?"

I rolled my eyes, almost regret wearing my boots and a little white dress to work this morning. I moved to New York City about a month ago from a little town named Bluebell, Alabama. The city is nothing like Bluebell and I'm still adjusting. Jazzy is my only friend here.

The city is very strange to me still, I have none of my family or friends here. I miss the farm where I grew up, but this is my dream and always have been. To be a big event planner in the city. When I finished school I applied everywhere and only heard back from the company I'm at now, Save The Date. I flew up for an interview and Susan hired me on the spot. Two weeks later I found an apartment and moved my whole life up here.

It was very hard leaving my family behind. My siblings and I were closer than most, as we're sextuplets. Lucky me, I was the only girl. Growing up with 5 brothers was a treat, I wouldn't trade my memories for anything in the world.

"What is it like in Alabama?" Jazzy asked.

"You've never been?" I asked as I opened a document to share with Jazzy to begin the next event.

"There's no reason for me to. I never traveled when I was younger, I've never left the east coast. The farthest I've ever gone is Maryland," she shrugged.

"Serious?" I asked and she nodded. "Well dang, you have to explore more. My brothers and I always went on a 10 day road trip to wherever we wanted during our birthdays."

"I'm learning so much about you. How many brothers do you have?" She asked.

"Oh right, you don't know. I have five brothers, but we're sextuplets," I told her.

Her jaw hit the floor, "you're kidding!" I smiled and shook my head. "That is so cool, I honestly thought that was only a thing in the movies."

"Nope, not just for the movies. My mom having six children at the same time made our local news and I grew up feeling like a celebrity because everybody knew who I was. That is not the case in New York, I'm just a fly on the wall," I said with a small smile.
