Complicated

Oh how that woman got under my skin. I hated how sincere she sounded and how right she was. During all of the fights regarding Bill, I never got hurt. I was always the one free of any injury or danger. I was always the one who was protected, but I had never connected the dots that it was her. But, it wasn't just after she possessed E/N. It was before that too. Even in the first battle, she never attacked me.

On top of that, I knew she was right about what I said. I missed the version of my ex that Bill inhabited and in turn missed Bill. I hated it. I hated her. Her beauty. Her irresistible looks. Her perfect body. Her gentle demeanor when I was sad. Her dominant side when we were having sex- It hit me. I hadn't just lost my virginity to E/N. I lost it to Billy. Billy had already possessed her when we had done it.

I sighed as I sat on my bed, playing with the fabric of my comforter. The way she frustrated me boggled my mind. It was the same frustration I had felt when the Pines Twins would tease me about having a crush on someone or when E/N and I were together. It was the frustration I got when I really liked someone. My feelings towards Billy were still very complicated. Technically everything about her was complicated. It may take all of eternity-if i can't get out beforehand-but I am determined to figure her out.

A knock sounded on the door. Bill, of course. I didn't suspect she was here to apologize. She had nothing to apologize for. If anything I was out of line.

"Come in." I call out, just barely loud enough for her to her. I watch and listen as the doorknob turns and the door slowly swings open with a barely audible screech. I looked at her as she walked in, her long hair bouncing on her shoulders. "Can I help you, Billy?"

"I just came in to apologize. I shouldn't have treated you like a child. I shouldn't have told you to go to your room."

"I accept your apology. And I'm sorry for pushing you like I did. I shouldn't have done that."

"In your defense, I did bring you here without your consent. You probably were upset about it then and still are now. I apologize for that as well, but I can't let you go. Not yet at least. I will let you go home every now and then if you'd like. But not to stay."

"Why? Gravity Falls is my home. I want to stay there. Not here."

"I'm sorry. I just brought you here, but I can't stand to let you go yet. I can't."

"Okay. Let's make a deal. I will stay here for three weeks. But, you have to let me go home for two weeks at least after that. I don't even have to be at my house. At least at the Mystery Shack. Please." I stuck out my hand confidently.

She groaned and begrudgingly took my hand. "Fine. Three weeks. No more. No less." She sighed, seemingly disappointed that I wouldn't let her have me all to herself. "Okay, no that we have that out of the way, how about we go for a walk? I have a garden out back. If you'd like to take a look? Or maybe the library? I have a wide selection of books if you'd like to read those?"

"Garden first. Then library." I smiled softly. Billy was so different with me than with others. So calm and kind. So concerned with my well being. I liked this side of her. "Come on. Lets go." I stood up from the bed.

She smiled at me and led me out the door. She led me through the kitchen door and to a slider door I hadn't noticed earlier. We exited the kitchen and walked out to a beautiful flower garden. There were many flower beds that were full of tons of different colorful flowers.

"I have flowers from all over the universe. My favorites are the Midnight Dahlias. I think those are the most beautiful of all my flowers. Go ahead. Pick your favorites and we can put them in a vase."

I looked around the garden to find some to pick. My eyes fell onto some that were still closed even though they looked ready to bloom and it was bright and sunny. "Why haven't these bloomed yet?"

"Oh, these are a special type of flower. These bloom at midnight. They let off this glow and sparkle like they're filled with glitter. They're beautiful. Just like you."

I felt a slight blush tinge my cheeks. "Th-Thanks."

"Maybe tonight, we can stay up and watch them bloom?"

"I'd like that." I looked over at another flower bed and found a beautiful plant that looked like a crossbreed between poppies and lilies. I walked over to them. The petals were a nice shade of F/C. "These are gorgeous."

"Do you want to bring these inside? Then we can go look at the library?"

"Yeah. Sounds good." I picked a few of the flowers and followed Bill inside. She grabbed a vase out of a cupboard and filled it up with water. I gently inserted the stems into the vase once she set the vase on the counter. I smile at Billy.

"Great choice, Love," She complimented as she smiled down at me. I looked away in embarrassment from the nick name. She giggled quietly. "Come on. Follow me." She walked out of the kitchen and through a few hallways. We stopped at a pair of French sliding doors. "Here we are." She grabbed the handles of the doors and slid them apart. There were huge bookshelves filled with thousands, if not millions, of books.

"Holy shit, Billy! How many books does one demon need?"

"Well, being alive as long as I have, you learn to find many things to keep you occupied. Reading is a very common activity for me. It's very relaxing."

"I agree. As long as it's something you chose to read instead of something school made you read."

"Go ahead. Choose some. Feel free to come and go in here. I'll be happy to read with you as well if you'd like."

"Thank you, Bill. I appreciate this."

"Anything for you, Love."
