Chapter 4 - The Revelation Part 1

Reetha had woken up early today because she was to be given her first assignment under Anakin Skywalker. After getting ready, she made her way to the briefing of her assignment, where she meet up with Ahsoka, Rex, Kix and Hardcase. 

"The plan is to find, and if possible, infiltrate a hidden Separatist base on Sorgan. Our resources say that the base in somewhere in the southern hemisphere of the planet." Anakin started the briefing. "The base's exact location is unknown." 

"How sure are we that this is not a trap?" Ahsoka asked. 

Reetha nodded in agreement. "Sorgan is a backwater planet. They aren't involved in our war. I don't see why the Separatist would want the planet." 

"I agree, but the Seperatist are known to use living beings as leverage when they want to, so call, negotiate with the Republic. I don't however think that they took over the planet for strategic purposes." Anakin added. 

"Also, as to how reliable our resources are is not certain. We received a closed transmission, directed to the Republic three days ago, saying that a Separatist base had been set up in the south. Locals reported seeing recon units, but other than that, no hard evidence has proven the Separatist presence on Sorgan."

"So, if we will be investigating this based on possible rumors. If the Separatist are secretive about their hidden bases. This seems to good to be true." Reetha added. Anakin nooded to her in agreement.

"It does. But it is a risk that we will take. If there is a base there, we have to destroy it and make sure they never come back to Sorgan." "Which is why I want you to take lead on this mission, Reetha." 

Her nodded "Will do Master Skywalker. But who will my team be?" 

"I want the infiltration team to be a 5 man team. Ahsoka and Captain Rex will be joining you. And, of course, you'd be needing Kix as your medic, and some extra fire power, Hardcase, just in case you happen to run into any unwanted trouble."

"I suggest we go infiltrate under cover. If there are Seppies on Sorgan, we do not want to cause a fight." the captain stated. "We should be in civilian clothing so the locals would not know of our presence. We will be able to keep our  presence unknown." 

"Good suggestion Rex. We will get them ready for the team. However, before I dismiss this meeting, I need to brief all of you about Reetha." Anakin said as he laid a supportive hand on her shoulder. 

The night before the meeting, Anakin had approached her about the ability and that she would have to you it on her first mission. At first she disagreed, but then complied as her ability would be crucial to find the base. 

 Reetha looked at Anakin and glanced around the room. It was just Anakin and her stealth team. "Alright, you guys might want to step back a little." She took in a deep breath, closed her eyes, and focused on the force. The forced hummed a new life in her as she entered a state of absolute calmness. She let out a huff of breath as her physical body had seemingly morphed into a beast of some kind. 

Reetha was not unconscious as she could here the surprised gasps of her team mates. She could sense their confusion and awe through the force.  She could here voices of people from her past, present and future, speaking in languages both familiar and unfamiliar to her. When she, opened her eyes, everyone in the room was looking up at her, literally.

After the morphing, a collection of whoa's grew in the room. The clones had taken of their helmets and Ahsoka just looked at you in disbelief. She had beautiful white fur, strong powerful legs, and wild yellow eyes. "Your... y-your a wolf?!" she exclaimed blinking her eyes rapidly. Reetha blew a huff of breath to the togruta as if to answer, yes. "Whoa.. I mean just... Wow." 

"I can't believe it. How did...." Hardcase asked as he cautiously stepped closer to Reetha. Rex slowly stepped closer to his brother as he looked into Reetha's golden eyes. "I didn't know that the Jedi could do this." He said with such awe. 

"Well, not all Jedi can, but Reetha is the only known Jedi in the Republic known to posses this ability." Anakin said as he slowly extended a hand to Reetha to gently feel her fur. Kix followed suit, cautiously extending his hand wanting to touch the wolf before him. 

Although he did not say it, Reetha sensed his hesitation, so she sat down, in her wolf body, and lowered her head to Kix. As he connected his hand to her head, he let out a huff of disbelief and amazement. "So, this is still Reetha right? I mean, she's a wolf but, can she still speak to us?" He asked Anakin. 

"This is an ability called Force morphing. This ability consumed a lot of energy, and the user needs to have constant focus in the force to maintain a form. She is able to choose a form of any sort of creature she wants, in this case, she choose a Loth Wolf." 

"Wow.." Ahsoka approached Reetha. "Your just.. magnificent. Master, can she communicate with us in this form?" 

"She can, which is what I want to show all of you now. She will be using this form to try to track down the Separatist base. So, she will communicate to you through the force." 

"No offence General, but we clones don't exactly do the force." Kix raised a point. "We are not exactly Jedi." 

"You do not have to be a Jedi to connect to the force. The force is present in all living things. It's just a matter of how you choose to respond to it" Anakin said as he laid a hand on Kix's shoulder. "Come on, I'll teach you how to communicate with Reetha while she's in this form." When Kix didn't budge, Reetha nudged him at his side gently. He let out a huff of laughter. "Haha. Alright vod'ika, I'm on it."  

Anakin had got the team to sit in a circle with you. "Alright. Now, the force connects each of us. It's just a matter for focusing on the force." He, looked to the clones and Ahsoka and let the group ready themselves before continuing.

 "Now, close your eyes and clear your mind of any thoughts. Just think of one thing." He paused for a moment. "Think, of Reetha. See her image in your minds as her human self. The wolf you see know is a projection of her self through the force."

Rex closed his eyes and focused on Reetha. "I..I think I feel it." 

"Feel her the energy that radiates from her wolf projection. Feel her heartbeat. See her transforming into the loth wolf." Anakin continued. "Try to settle with her mind. Focus on her signature in the force, and when you are ready, try to communicate with her through your mind."

The room was quiet for a while, when Hardcase suddenly let out a startled 'woahh' "This feel weird. It's, as if I can feel her in my mind. A-am I doing it right sir? Is it supposed to be like this? " 

"You almost got it Hardcase. Keep calm and try to establish that connection again, and try to communicate with her this time." Anakin instructed.
