Plans,

Hologram projections of suits & armor,

Scribbles of concepts and ideas,

All of them scattered across my workshop. Like I said, once I got something in my head, I jump into it head first with no going back. I was moving from desk to desk, screen to screen, going over all the options and ideas and summarizing and organizing them... and as I did that, I felt my head clear up. My mind had been in a constant fog, ever since saturday, overflowing with input but no output. I would have started yesterday afternoon, but Pepper and Jade insisted on watching a movie as a family. And, of course, I didn't get to have a say in which movie to watch... So I was stuck watching Notting Hill, out of all movies.

I'd been working for at least an hour now, Jade still being fast asleep upstairs. It was monday morning, and Jade and Pepper had an appointment at the Midtown High School this afternoon. I'd made some calls the previous night, and was able to arrange a meeting as fast as possible, so today was basically her introduction to the school. Jade didn't know it yet, so Pepper and I were planning on breaking the news to her during lunch.

I hadn't told her about her new suit yet either.. but I wanted to clear my head and organize everything before I laid anything out for her. So, that's what I planned on dedicating this day to.

'Friday, do we have a details on Black Panther's necklace?' I asked, scrolling through the files in my computer. I had files on many of the Avenger's props, as I'd helped design many of them. Others, I had reports on for research purposes. A hammer that was capable of wielding lightning and that disobeyed basic physics laws? Of course we ran some tests on it.

'We do, sir, although the data isn't particularly extensive.' Friday answered, as a file popped up on my screen. There was some information on the materials used and the design, but no clear indications of how the suit actually worked. I scrunched my eyebrows, leaning back in my chair. The Wakandans were always very protective over their inventions.

I let out a deep breath, placing my fist under my chin. 'Do we know anything about the technology used? Like, was it nano?' I asked, scanning the documents once more. The suit was already insane, and the fact that Shuri had created it made it all the more impressive to me. I just hated not understanding the science part of it.. But I knew I'd get my hands on the info.

'Judging from the materials used and their chemical compositions, nano-technology wasn't their approach. In fact, it appears there's some sort of cloaking technology involved... But I can't say for sure. The analytics are insufficient.'

I threw my hands behind my head and closed my eyes. As much as I hated asking someone else for help, I had to get more information.

'Can you contact Shuri for me, Friday?' I said, sighing.

Jade // 2.05 pm

I stood in the entrance hall at home, in front of the gigantic mirror that served as a complete wall. My face looked a little puffy for some reason, but at least my outfit was on point. Since it was quite windy, I went for some skinny jeans with a wide belt, and a low cut, B&W striped shirt. The black sneakers at the end of the shoe rack paired perfectly with my clothes.. and as I studied my reflection, I collected all my hair and put it up in a ponytail. There was a tiny smudge of mascara beside my eye, which I wiped away.

Finally, I was ready.

My mom walked in not a second later, sparking up some excitement within me as we walked out the door. A black Audi was parked in our driveway to take us to Queens... and as I took place in the car, it started to feel more and more real.
