I have a huuuuuge hate for this show. I HATE it. They took amazing three dimensional characters and turned them into boring, tropey idiots.
Let's start with Robin. He used to be a leader, a master of martial arts and smart to boot. Now he only leads the Titans by saying " Titans! Go!". He barely uses his used-to-be mad martial arts skills and mainly relies on his tools. He's been turned into a complete ignoramus. Oh, and that relationship he had with Starfire? Now they've made him obsessed.
Onto Raven. She was always fighting with her demonic urges and had to have complete self control. She cared about her friends and would do anything to keep them safe. Now she's just a moody emo kid and every chance they've had to make her three dimensional has been thrown out like that.
Let's talk about Starfire. Then she was slightly confused about human culture, she wasn't always as confident as she might seem, and she was never afraid to stand up for what's right. Now? She's a pacifist in some episodes, but not all. She is a complete idiot, and seems to be the stereotype of a teen white girl. She used to have a well developed relationship with Robin, but now she ignores every advance he makes.
Cyborg and Beast Boy. These two are in the same paragraph because Teen Titans Go merged their characters. They were independent characters. Cyborg was a genius, who I'm fairly sure used to be disabled before making his robot parts. Beast Boy hid what I'm pretty sure was a bad past in a carnival or on the streets behind laughter and jokes but he could be serious when he needed to be. Now they're just two idiots with no real contribution to the show.
