"How much long will I be in here?" Jeno asked Johnny.

It had been a few hours and Johnny came to check on Jangmi and Jeno. The house had gone back to normal, the life coming back, as Johnny and Jaehyun told them they found Stray Kids.

"Well, honestly, you don't have to be in here. You can rest in your room and me and Kun can check on you there. We just thought, you'd wanna be here with Jangmi until she wakes up."

To Jeno's left, there laid Jangmi with a big bandage on her shoulder.

"Will she wake up soon?" Jeno asked hopefully.

"Well, Kun thought she would wake up in 22 hours or more. That was 20 hours ago. She'll be awake soon. Do you want someone to come in here? I know Hendery and YangYang were here earlier, but now they have stuff to do."

"Is Jia busy?" He requested quietly.

"I can find her," Johnny said pulling his phone out.

"Just text Donghyuck, she's always with him," Jeno sighed, laying back down in his bed.

Johnny laughed slightly and replied, "Yeah, I know. He said she'll be down here in a minute."

"Thank you Johnny, really."

"That's what I'm here for. It's 10:30, get some sleep when Jia leaves here, okay?"

"All over it," Jeno replied already closing his eyes.

Johnny smiled lightly before walking out of the infirmary. The room was quiet, calm. The steady beat of Jangmi's heart could be heard throughout. Jeno looked at the girl lovingly. She looked calm, at peace even. Opposite of what the past few weeks have been. The pair of '00 liners had been through a lot in these recent days and it's amazing how much they've pulled through. Jeno's train of thought was interrupted when a soft knock was heard from the door.

In the doorway, Jia stood, clad out in Hyuck's old clothes.

"You wanted to talk?" She asked quietly.

"Yeah, I wanted to talk to you about Jangmi," he replied lightly. Jia walked closer to Jeno and pulled the nearest chair towards him.

"What's up?"

"I like her....a lot."

"I know," Jia responded, amusement laced through her voice.

"But like," Jeno paused for a second before continuing. "In this industry, your not suppose to have ties. To anyone. That's why this entire situation has been stressful. You and Jangmi were regular civilians, you had nothing to do with this life. Me and Hyuck, all we wanna do is make sure you guys are safe. He cares about you a lot and I care about Jangmi. I never thought about what would happen after I told Taeyong about her and she told you about us. This has all been crazy, to be honest. So, when this over, I want to ask Jangmi to be my girlfriend."

Jia stared at Jeno in shock. His near-death experience really shook him up. He wasn't one to be affectionate or admit how he was feeling. His bubbly eye-smile, constantly covered by a hard exterior.

"Why are you telling me this?"

"I thought that it felt right to tell someone how I felt. I know I can talk to the boys and all, but you know Jangmi personally. I don't know, I just-"

"No, no, no, it's fine. It's fine," she reassured. Jeno connected their eyes a smiled lightly.

"Do you think she'll say yes?" Jeno asked, turning his eyes to look at Jangmi.

Jia looked up at the girl as well and smiled lightly. "I know she will."

For the first time in weeks, Jeno smiled widely, his eyes turning into little crescents.
