" Daddy wake up!"screamed Zoe ."Luke and I have been waiting for you."A disgruntled Percy awoke from his dream and saw his daughter sitting on his chest."I'm up."he yawned,last night he stayed up late classify newly discovered fish species."Guess what day it is."Zoe yelled .Humpday? thought Percy. "It's your birthday."Percy was sure half of America could hear her. Suddenly, Luke placed a messy blue paper crown on Percy's head."We made this for you."he giggled. Luke was only 3 years old ,but he had mousy blond and striking green eyes.Percy hugged both of them.
Percy ,still damp from his shower,(Why he didn't will the water off of him remains a mystery.)stumbled down the stairs to see Annabeth cooking ,his favorite breakfast,blue pancakes drowning in maple syrup.As he sat down at the kitchen table, Zoe placed the plate of pancakes in front of him."Can I pour the maple sywup."asked Luke."Of course you can."Luke uncapped the bottle and poured the entire contents of the bottle on the pancakes.Percy then began the elegant procedure of shoving it into his mouth.
