When I think of her, I think of her smile. The way she'd reassure me. The way she talked. Sang. Moved. How she taught me. How she made every day brighter.
When I think of him. I think of the way he used to be. When she was still here. But when I think of him. I also think about how he changed. How he hit me until I bled. How he enjoyed my pain.
When I think of them. I think of how they promised me. They would stay there for me. They would never leave me. And how they did. The second they got the chance. How I had no choice but to run.
After I ran away. I met someone. And everything changed from there.
