Chapter One: Finally, the Academy!

-Sora's POV-
"No way! Did you really, Mom?" I asked my Mom. She is probably confused as to why I am being so energetic about this. She is called Yukie Himura, although she is called Yukie Aomori by the others. She's the best mother in the world! She's a medical ninja, who also works as a nurse in the hospital. My Dad is called Shotarō Aomori. He's the second kid in his family! He's also the best father, although he's a bit annoying sometimes. Oh, look, there he is. "Did you enroll Sora into the Academy, Yuki?" He asked sleepily. I think he stayed up late yesterday.. I do hope he rests today, though. "Well, yes, of course, Honey. Kids her age enroll in the Academy every year! I think it's going to be mandatory anytime soon," my Mom said. "Haha, yes, I suppose....well, you heard that, Sora? You're in the Academy starting next week! How cool is that?" Here we go again. "Yes, I'm excited, Dad, but, don't you think you're too old to say 'How cool is that'?" He's like a kid sometimes, my Mom said that to me. I think it was called 'being childish'. "What~ Sora.....Let me enjoy my youth once more...." "Sora, after breakfast, give this package to Sakura-chan next door, okay?" I nodded. Sakura-san is my neighbor. I heard that she is really smart. Last year she went to the Academy, and she became her class' top student right after that. She was the teacher's favorite student, I think. Who was he? "Okay." I quickly ate my breakfast, and took off with the small bag. I knocked Sakura-san's door, and her mom answered it. "Ah, um....Mom said to give this to Sakura-san....." I handed her the bag. I was a bit nervous, because I never talked to her mother before. "Ah, really? Well, come in, then! You can give it to Sakura yourself!" "O..Kay.....?" I was pushed inside. "Sora-chan! I got another full mark on the recent test! Isn't that great?" I nodded. "Uh-huh. Sakura-san, Mom said that I'm gonna be in the Academy. Can you teach me?" Sakura-san smiled. "Of course! With my help, you'll rocket through the Academy lessons!" She snickered. I smiled. The Academy will be so much fun! I'm sure I'll make lots of good friends there, I thought.

But back then, I didn't know that meeting my rival won't be part of it.
