Jin's POV:
My annoying alarm went off, seconds before I could finish the last minutes of my peaceful, and very much valued slumber. I'd do whatever it takes to keep this face from bloating up like a balloon.
Especially after eating out so much with my friends on New Year's Eve last week. The old, slim and perfect complexion I had on myself turned into a reflection I grew to despise.
However, that never stopped me from remaining good-looking of course. No no, I'm still handsome, don't worry. My biggest inspiration has never been a buff, built bodybuilder, or a nutritionist who can recommend me to eat 'healthier'.
Psst! Wanna know my real secret on looking this good?
Well, that's simple. It's my glossy, sparkly mirror, that can only reflect the most beautiful face of this planet:
Mine, of course.
My feet swiftly dragged the weight of my body, leading me to my favorite place within this house. Yup! You guessed it: My bathroom. A place where I get privacy to stare at myself and admire the handsome man in the reflection.
However, this morning, as I was rushing to get myself ready to work, my annoying roommate thought that it would be "funny" to pull a prank on me by slamming the door roughly.
~Flashback~
"Come on, come on! I can't miss this photoshoot today. I have my outfit, my hair is nicely brushed- OH! I need my-" A loud ruckus was enough to make me tremble and scream even louder as my friend held his stomach, laughing.
"JUNGKOOK, YOU PUNK! STOP DOING THIS TO ME! I- AHH!" Then, I let out another screech as my mirror loosened up from the wall it had been hung onto, colliding with the floor and shattering to bits in seconds.
~Now~
Third Person's POV:
Jin sighed, remembering the tragic scene as his roommate continued to laugh at it just by thinking about the older man's face.
"Come on, Hyung. I'll treat you to dinner tonight after work, okay?" His young friend suggested, but the other had to sadly turn him down, insisting that he had too much work to complete.
"Ah, Jungkookie, as tempting as that sounds... It'll have to be another day. I work late tonight. My photographer really REALLY needs these photos to be perfected." The young, dark brown haired man nodded at the older male, offering him a smile.
"I heard that they were going to open up a new shop nearby today. In fact, it most likely... Should be open today.. Anyways, I thought that you should go check it out. Maybe you'll find something you like. You never know." The black haired male seemed to agree, taking a sip of his coffee before responding.
"Mmm, sure. I'll take a peek at it before heading to work. But right now, I really have to go. So, keep the house in one piece until I get back, alright 'child'?" Jin giggled, playfully punching Jungkook's arm.
"Can do, 'father'. Can do. Just hurry back, or I might end up shattering another mirror with my new sound equipment for my music." That made the other feel uneasy, staring at Jungkook's devious smile.
"Just make sure to break "those" windows and not "these", deal?" The way Jin pointed at Jungkook's window in his bedroom made the younger laugh as he placed his hands inside of his pockets.
"No promises, but I can try. Now go on, finish getting ready for work!" With that being said, Jungkook and Jin headbutted their heads playfully as their way of beckoning each other, before parting ways and attending to their jobs.
"I hope that my house is still in one piece when I come back home."
~~~
Jin curved his wrist, reaching out to open his car door, when something suddenly caught his attention. The sound of a glass, crackling beneath his shoes from where he was standing made him furrow his eyebrows, but wasn't enough to keep his attention for long.
He decided to let the shard of glass be, and proceeded to enter his vehicle, hoping to make it on time for his job before his boss threw a fit over him being late again.
While he pulled his car out of the driveway, he couldn't help but notice the thrift shop his roommate had previously mentioned before, but at the moment, the male model could only focus on where he had to be, and on the busy photoshoot he was about to start in less than two hours.
So, he readjusted himself in his seat, and took off in seconds in hopes of arriving soon.
And soon enough, by the time Jin arrived, it was 7:09p.m. He gave himself one last good look, gasping at his mirror as he winked at it.
"Ah, handsome man who is soon to appear in the front of a magazine for Korea's Best Facial Cleansers. You got this! Let's go." He gave himself a quick pat on his tense shoulders, right before entering the large building complex, to set off and work on his modeling.
After apologizing to his boss for being late, the photoshoot commenced with a rough start, that ended in -yet another- successful day. With a face so charming, elegant, and with the man's sharp and professional facial expressions, he ended his day with a perfect
photoshoot."Thank you for today! See you again tomorrow. Drive safely!" He shook hands with his workers, before beckoning them and calling it a day. Then, the tall, raven haired man made his way towards his car, to make it back home as he usually always does after finishing up his modeling session
"This person must be in a hurry to get somewhere. Ugh, so annoying. Fineee! Drive ahead, or run my car over, KIND driver." On his way back, Jin was so distracted by an annoying driver behind him that he was forced to switch lanes, making his destination longer than usual.
"Great.. Now I'll take another hour to get back h- What's this?" An isolated, spacious thrift store suddenly caught his attention.
"So, this is the famous thrift store Kookie was telling me about earlier, huh? I wonder if I could find a new mirror here..."
