It was just before the school day ended, and the 7 boys would have to meet in about ten minutes. Taehyung really didn't want to go to the meeting, or whatever it was, but he definitely was going to be forced to. Especially since headmaster Choi was a good friend of his mother's, if he didn't make an appearance he would be getting an earful from his mother. Something about getting good grades and having credit in school that links with participating in classes and extra curricular clubs, the whole lot. But the point was, eventhough Taehyung barely listened at some points, was that he needed to be better at school.
It wasn't the fact that he couldn't do it, he just wanted something more exciting than book smarts, and learning how in algebra they use letters (which should only be used in English) to represent hidden numbers. No seriously, how was that going to help Taehyung in his later life? He understands that he needs basic maths like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, but everything else? Nah, he didn't need it. Where was "x" going to take him? Where was 3.14 and it's use to figure out radiuses going to take him?
Down a drainpipe called misery that's what.
But alas, no matter how much he hated mathematics, the brooding thought of impressing his mother would always linger in his mind like a bad, repugnant smell. What could he do? He was a mommy's boy, an only child that grew up with no dad. He just had to impress her. But at times, it seemed that her left toe was more impressive than her son finally doing good and achieving something that he was actually proud of. Taehyung loved his mother, but at times he just couldn't ignore the neglect that she gave him.
Like a few years ago, he had just won the football champion with the rest of his friends, earning him the title of captain. And throughout the whole game, he thought his mother was sitting in the stands, and that's what motivated Taehyung, come to think about it, he didn't see her after the game. She said she was too busy getting her nails done. Two months later, a boy named Hoseok had taken the title, and Taehyung was left squabbling for a spot on the team, until finally he left. It was so sad for him, but his mother was more glad that he had time for his studies.
He didn't have a dad. Taehyung's mother barely spoke of her ex husband. Something about suicide and being homosexual. And Taehyung never asked. He just went on with his life. Sometimes it felt a lot like she hated her dead husband, and Taehyung always felt the reason being was that he was homosexual. Taehyung had grew up thinking that loving the same gender was wrong, and that if he was ever to look at the same gender in a specific way, he would no longer have a family.
But a lot of the times, it had felt like he didn't even have a family.
Taehyung sighs, ridding himself of the thoughts of his parents, or well, parent. The only reason why he was thinking about them in the first place was because of Jungkook. For some reason, Taehyung couldn't shake the thought of the boy away from his mind. He didn't know why, but ever since Taehyung saw Jungkook freeze after reading his last note, he just couldn't shake the feeling that there was so much more to the boy than he even thought there would be.
Taehyung tries to think of something else, and just as Jungkook's face leaves Taehyung's mind, the mint haired boy looks up and sees Jungkook putting his books away into an open locker, before slamming it shut. Jungkook's eyes turn upwards and he meets Taehyung's brown ones. Jungkook smiles, "hey!" Taehyung stops walking to stand in front of Jungkook, leaning against the locker with a smirk on his face, classic procedure of his. Jungkook rolls his eyes sassily when he sees that Taehyung's response is the smirk. "So I know that you're going to the hall too, d'you mind showing me the way?"
Taehyung stands up straight, "sure, I mean, it would be great if I had different company, but you'd do just fine." Jungkook scoffs, and slaps Taehyung's arm playfully as they both walk to the hall, Taehyung chuckles when Jungkook struggles to think of a reply. And just when he does open his mouth to say something in response, a high pitched voice calls out Taehyung's name.
