You didn't know it, but you were staring at Cha Eun Hye's sleeping figure like the way Taehyung stared at you the night you tried to kill yourself by drowning.

Different time, yet same feeling.

You wanted to feel peace while looking at Areum's mother.

The devil was right. He was the only one who could heal Eun Hye, but you still had your doubts so you asked Taehyung to please help you bring the unconscious woman to Kim Namjoon, one of the best doctors in Cornelia Hospital.

Of course Taehyung scoffed at your request. He hated that after all this time you were still questioning his power. However, instead of getting mad, he simply complied with what you wanted.

Taehyung thought that the two of you should start with a clean slate. He was going to forgive you for defying him, but he was serious when he said that this was the last time he'd let you off the hook.

"Don't worry, she's okay." Doctor Namjoon tapped your shoulder upon realizing that you had been staring at Eun Hye for quite some time now.

"Thank you, Doctor Kim." You sighed and then you forced a smile.

You couldn't find an excuse when Namjoon asked what happened to Eun Hye, luckily Taehyung managed to craft a perfect lie.

He claimed that Eun Hye was hysterical. She went to visit you just so she could blame the death of Areum to you. The devil also said that the older woman was so upset to the point that she passed out.

Namjoon believed all of this. He then figured out that another factor why Eun Hye fainted was because of exhaustion. He knew that coping up with death was hard. Perhaps she deliberately skipped meals and sleep that resulted to her fainting.

"You've thanked me many times already, Doctor," Namjoon laughed, shaking his head.

You blushed as you murmured "I'm sorry,"

Namjoon shook his head nonchalantly.

"No worries. Just do me a favor and call her family, will you? They need to know what happened to her."

He was right. Eun Hye's family needed to know what happened to her and so you excused yourself in able to make a call.

The telephone number of the Chas was still saved in your mobile. This was what you used to call them. Her husband was the one who answered the phone.

You didn't have the energy to beat around the bush, so you told him the lie Taehyung told Namjoon.

Your heart clenched when Eun Hye's husband said he would go to the hospital as soon as he could.

It was heartbreaking to hear the panic and exhaustion in his voice. He couldn't believe that his wife stooped to that kind of level. Frankly speaking, he was disappointed too.

He wished Eun Hye would just focus her attention to something more important. They had two small children at home. The kids needed guidance because it was difficult to explain that their older sister had died—that she was never coming back.

"A penny for your thoughts?"

You snapped back to reality when someone suddenly sat beside you.

You were too caught up with the problem of the Cha family to notice the stranger. You were actually spacing out while waiting for Eun Hye's husband at the lounge of Cornelia Hospital.

"Can I help you?" You raised your brow at the stranger beside you.

He seemed harmless—too harmless that it caused you to get suspicious. This man literally looked like an angel.
