Chapter 17 - William's Ride Home.

Anthony announces the news to Nora.

Nora: *Mega relief sigh*
Anthony: *relief smile*
Nora while slouching: *walks to the bedroom and lies down flat on the bed.*
"AHHHH... so relieved, thank God William is safe. You can stay here for the day, I'm going to sleep." *buries her face inside the pillow*
Anthony while smiling: "alright, thanks..."

-Meanwhile-

William while sitting on officer Matthew's laps gets taken home in a police car.

They reach Anthony's apartment building and Officer Matthew carries William on his neck.

William admires the feeling of riding on someone's neck.

Williams thoughts: "I am so high, This is so fun! Feels scary, I feel like I can fall down anytime but, I feel safe, after all, I am a five-year-old in the hands of a police officer.

They reach the apartment and knock on the door, but, they get no response.

William (while acting like a kid): *remembers about what happened* "Policeman, Mommy, and daddy are in another house."

Officer Matthew: *lifts William up from his neck, places him down on the ground and ruffles through his hair*
Officer Matthew: *stretches his body slightly, takes out his phone and calls Anthony.*

Anthony picks up the call:

Officer Matthew: "Where are you?"
Anthony: "Oh right, apologies for the annoyance sir... I am at my fiancée's house."
Officer Matthew: "Wait?! so you are not married yet?"
Anthony: "Yeah... OH NO! DON'T GET THE WRONG IDEA, William is adopted."
Officer Matthew: "oh okay... We will be right there!" *smiles at William*

Anthony informs Officer Matthew of the address and they end their call.

Officer Matthew carries William once more on his neck out of the building and towards his car, which, William enjoys.

They arrive at their police car and get seated in the car, Officer Matthew places William on his lap and commands the other police to drive to the address. They head out.

-10minutes later-

William couldn't help but fall asleep on Officer Matthew.
Officer Matthew realizing he fell asleep hugs him lightly just to provide him comfort while sleeping.

The other police (one who is driving): "Aww, he's so cute."
Officer Matthew: *smiles while adoring William* "yeah... poor kid."

They continue talking along the way.

-Time skip-

They arrive at Nora's apartment building.

Officer Matthew carries William while he's asleep up to the apartment.

After arriving at the apartment the other police officer knocks on their door.
Anthony opens the door with a smile.

Officer Matthew: "Careful, he's asleep..." *hands William to Anthony*
Anthony (while whispering): *holds onto William* "Thank you so so sooooo much. I owe you my deepest gratitude."
Officer Matthew (while whispering): "Don't mention it." *smiles* "You have got a very cute boy. He is very smart, he called the emergency and even opened the door when we reached there on his own. Take good care of him."
Anthony (while whispering): "Yea..." *happy ackward smile*
Officer Matthew (while whispering): "Alright then, we will go now. Cya!" *wink*
Anthony (with a slightly louder whisper): *Smiles while looking at Officer Matthew* "Bye, take care!"
William (while asleep on Anthony): *moves slightly with a small sleepy moaning sound*

The two policemen leave and Anthony carries William inside.

He places William on the bed where Nora was asleep and walks to the hall and lies down and sleeps on the sofa after turning half the lights off.

-The Next Day in the Morning-

Nora wakes up and stretches on the bed.
Whilst stretching she feels something unusual besides her. She turns around and opens her eyes and notices William asleep on the bed.
