Chapter 2 - Don't say I didn't warn you.

It was a warm autumn morning and the shades of brilliantly coloured leaves blew gently painting the boringly unanimous grey streets. It would've been an amazing autumn breeze if it wasn't for Ronsy's shrill voice still pestering me about my love life.

"I still cannot believe you've never been in a relationship... What the hell did you do in high school?" I laughed at Ronsy's disbelief but I still wanted nothing more than this eternity of a morning walk from the conveniently located dormitory to end. Though Ronsy's disbelief was amusing, her questions pained me in ways I don't wish to dwell on... again.

So I brushed it off, "Look it's never happened and let's face it, it probably never will."

"Oh... my god! LIES!" Ronsy exclaimed. Ronsy's face twitches slightly and becomes completely smug. Her taunting smile followed her suggestive eyes. Her eyes darted quickly to the source of her expression. Following it, I saw the all-familiar magnificent eyes. I couldn't help rolling my own.

"No," I say firmly to Ronsy. The art building is actually close enough for me to smell the distinctive, tempting scent of paint. Maybe if I run fast enough I'll get there before Ronsy talked again.

"Well, he's coming this way," Ronsy says, "Maybe you two should work on more art projects than gazing into each other's eyes... leisurely." I shoved Ronsy away from me, her laughter never ceasing as she shook her head.

Of all the days I chose clothes free of paint messes and my distracted doodles, why wasn't that day today? His figure slowly began to take a clearer shape as he stepped closer towards us. If I held my breath when his eyes were borrowed on my canvas, I was sure I was going to die seeing them again now.

I tried to neaten my clothes before Harry reached me but I'm almost sure he can smell my mix of acrylics-stained clothing from where he is.

"How are you girls?"

"We're-we're good..." I replied. I couldn't find a place to focus my eyes, it felt too intimate to look at his eyes after my stunt with my previous art project. My gaze found Ronsy. God, I want to rip Ronsy's proud smile off of her face but I do admire her for containing her excitement. I could see her excitement pushing the boundaries of her sealed containment.

"How did your art piece go with Mr Eugene?" Harry asked. I caught his eyes glancing at my shaking hands desperately trying to keep my coffee mug from falling out of my hands. In response, he took a step back with a polite, gentle smile. I could kill myself right now with his chivalrous sword.

"It went... well. He was quite impressed with your... eyes." A giggle filled with nervous bounces and misshaped smiles followed, "Thank you for... for being my... muse." It was Harry's turn to laugh nervously.

"Well, if you ever need me again, just let me know... preferably in person." I nodded. I could feel the heat rise in my cheeks as the memory flashed of our previous encounter. Harry had to leave to reach his morning lecture so he waved us goodbye and headed to his building.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" Ronsy screamed. I attempted to quiet her with a hushing tone but it was useless. Her fizzy-bottled excitement had been shaken up and had now just burst through the seals of her prior containment.

I didn't realise the extent of how flustered I was from talking to Harry until my phone slipped from my grossly sweaty hands. "Could you please stop? It's not like anything is going to happen."

"You don't know that. It could be great." Ronsy's cured from her frizzy excitement and returns to being my rational royal advisor, "I like the way you smile when he's with you."
