Narancia was walking home after a perfectly normal day at school and decided to take a shortcut through the woods, knowing full well about the warnings from countless people about the wolves inhabiting the woods.
after about a minute of walking through the woods and looking at the scenery, Narancia felt like he was being watched and began to fasten his pace until he ended up being chased by whatever or whoever was stalking him until a figure appeared from being hidden around some trees, a blonde wolf, around the same age as Narancia. his eyes a bold shade of lavender. the wolf stood infront of Narancia, blocking his way home. Narancia ran the opposite direction of the wolf just to turn around and notice he wasn't being followed. "wait, wait!!" Narancia shouted as the wolf began to leave.
"what is it?" the wolf responded, stopping in his tracks when hearing Narancia call out to him.
"why didn't you chase me or attack me when I ran away? you were chasing me before" Narancia questioned.
"i'm... not sure, actually..." the wolf answered, he couldn't just say he was watching Narancia because he though he was cute and wanted a better look at him, no. it was forbidden that wolves and humans liked eachother in that way, if anyone found out he liked Narancia even a little romantically, he could be given a death penalty. he wasn't entirely sure how he felt, he just found Narancia cute was all.
"oh... I thought I was going to be eaten, i'm lucky you didn't want to!" Narancia admitted, resting his arms behind his head.
"ah, sorry about that..." Fugo apologized.
"it's okay, I was told to stay away from wolves, but you seem nice" Narancia whined.
"I guess were in the same boat then, I was told humans were dangerous and it's a death threat to even cross one, but you're nothing like how everyone describes them, you're kind, and... well... nice..." the wolf mumbled.
"hey, maybe we can be friends then! i'm Narancia!" Narancia introduced himself.
"i'm... Fugo..." the wolf introduced himself, still trying to gather up his confidence. he couldn't help it, his chest felt tight, he just assumed he was sick and shrugged it off as something to deal with later.
Narancia and Fugo began to sit down and talk to eachother and got along pretty well, they shared alot of problems and related to eachother quite a bit. after a while it got late and Narancia's parents were calling for him. "bye Fugo! can we meet again tomorrow?" Narancia asked.
"sure, same time?" Fugo reponded to which Narancia agreed to the same time and waved him goodbye. once he was gone Fugo left to his home too.
Fugo didn't sleep that night, he couldn't stop thinking of the small boy he had only just met a few hours ago. he still felt that same tightness in his chest from when he was with him, he didn't know what the feeling was. he just wanted to be friends with Narancia, right?
