"I'm running away, Narancia" Fugo answered the smaller male. "I... Fugo.." Narancia was at a loss for words. did he do something wrong? he just wanted to help Fugo. he wanted to be the one to be by his side at all times. he never had felt such heartache by something more than this. he didn't even know why. he felt as if he was missing something, but didn't know what it was. "and you cannot follow me. I care about you deeply, more than a wolf like me should. so I'm running away, to keep you and the others safe" Fugo explained. he hated seeing Narancia so upset by him, but he decided it would be better for the scruffy haired boy if he was gone for good. Fugo walked up to Narancia and pulling him into a hug. "why...? why are you leaving, Fugo..?" Narancia cried out. "I...I don't get it!!" "I've already told you; because I care about you" Fugo responded, pulling away from the hug. "give me your hand" Narancia did exactly as demanded. he held out his small, bony hand towards Fugo, unsure of what he was going to do. "now, close your eyes" Fugo ordered. "Fugo...what are you doi—" Narancia felt something drop into his hand and Fugo in case the item with his own hand. Narancia opened his eyes to find Fugo staring at him, his hand in the one Narancia was holding out. "I want you to keep this with you, and remember me for as long as you can. thank you, Narancia. for everything"

"Fugo..." "shhh. it's okay, Narancia" Fugo took his hand off of Narancia's and left the building, leaving Narancia by himself, and his own tears. "Fugo...come back!!" Narancia shouted, but nobody came. he was only met with silence. a deep, empty, sickening silence that plagued the entire room in it's hollowness. Narancia opened his hand to find the strawberry earring Fugo used to wear before his ear got a bullet shot through it. the wolf still had his other earring with him. of course he did. Narancia rubbed his thumb over the earring, still sobbing quietly to himself. eventually, he collapsed onto the floor. his legs unable to keep balance. "Fugo...Fugo!!" Narancia kept calling out to the wolf, hoping he could at least hear his cries for him to return to him.

                                                                                              <>

"Narancia!" "are you okay?" a voice called out to the ravenette. "M-Mista..?" Narancia spoke, his voice dry and empty. "Narancia! oh my god, you're okay!!" Mista pulled Narancia into a hug, not realising he was slowly crushing the boy in between his grasp. "oww... Mista...stop" Narancia managed to say through his lack of breath. "sorry, Nara. I'm just glad you're okay!" Mista apologised. "it's okay.." Narancia looked around the room. he was in the bedroom. in Mista's bed. everyone was there. everyone except Fugo. "Fugo...where is he!?" Narancia cried out. he remembered what happened, he opened his hand to find the earring was still there. he remembered Fugo had ran away. never to come back again. "Fugo? now that you mention it, I haven't seen him all day.." Giorno answered. Narancia made a small whine before explaining to everyone what happened.

                                                                                                <>

"Fugo..ran away!?" "where is he!?" "he'll be okay, right!?" multiple people bombarded Narancia with questions. "I...don't know!! all I know is that he's gone!!" Narancia showed them the strawberry earring, everyone instantly recognising it. "he gave me this and told me to remember him for as long as I can" Narancia explained. "Fugo.." "Narancia, we need to find him! now!!" Mista yelled, grabbing everything he needed before dragging Narancia outside. "Mista, what the hell are you doing!?" Abbacchio shouted at the brunette. "we're going to find Fugo before he does something stupid!" Mista answered before leaving with Narancia.

                                                                                                <>

"he stole my knife again, Mista.." Narancia sighed. "what does he plan to do with it..?" Narancia and Mista were in the middle of the woods, trying to find Fugo. it's been half an hour and there still isn't any sign of him. "I'm not sure..he can attack well enough without them" Mista responded. "I'm tired.." Narancia groaned, deciding to sit on a tree that had fallen. "we'll search for another 10 minutes, then we can go. okay?" Mista suggested. "but that's thing thing! I don't wanna go! I just want to be able to see Fugo again.." Narancia pouted. "I know..I didn't even realise he had made a run for it..sorry, Narancia" Mista sighed. "it's fine, he ran off ages ago.." Narancia responded.

10 minutes later they still hadn't found the wolf, so Mista took Narancia back to his house and decided to search again when it was dark.

                                                                                                   <>

it was midnight. Narancia and Mista decided to search again. Narancia felt like giving up, but knew Fugo couldn't have gotten far, which is what kept him going. Narancia eventually got bored and began kicking random rocks around before he heard something in the bushes. "Mista, over there!!" Narancia shouted. Mista shone the torch he brought towards the bushes, finding blood all over it and a green object lying inside the bush. "..the hell!? should I check it out..?" Mista asked.  "yeah, just be careful though!!" Narancia answered, following Mista to the bush. "wait, isn't that Fugo's phone!?" Narancia yelled, picking up the green object from the bloody bush. "it's...broken..?" Narancia monologued to himself. 'is this why he never answered any of my calls or texts?'

"Nara, if Fugo's phone is here, then wouldn't Fugo be nearby?" Mista asked. "what do you mean?" Narancia mumbled. "I mean, the sound you heard was probably Fugo dropping it" Mista suggested. "yeah! it could've been!!" Narancia agreed. "who's blood is this..?" Narancia asked himself. "nobody was hurt when he left..did Fugo get injured!?"

a low growl from near the trees startled Narancia and Mista. they heard footsteps gettting closer.

"whose there!?" Mista called out to whatever was growling at him and Narancia, but got no response. the creature kept growling and walking towards the two. Mista threw a rock in the creature's direction. the sound of the rock falling and a loud shriek of pain ensured Mista that the throw was a success. Narancia ran over to the creature with Mista's torch and shone it at it.

Narancia found who he had been missing the entire day, a rock next to him as he stared up at Narancia in pain. "Fugo...shit!! he's hurt!!" Narancia yelled, lifting Fugo onto his lap. "Mista! Mista!!" Narancia shouted, hearing Mista run up behind him. "wait, did I hit him!?" Mista said, shocked by the injured wolf. "Fugo..?" Narancia called out to the blonde, moving hair out of his eyes. "N..Narancia? I told you not to follow me.." Fugo responded, getting up from Narancia's warm embrace and staring him directly in the eyes, the wolf's face filled with sadness and sorrow. "why are you covered in blood..?" Narancia asked. "I was just hunting..so I could survive being an outcast.." Fugo explained. "an outcast? so you never went back to your pack?" Mista questioned. "that's right" Fugo answered. "I could never go back to them after all that I did to you all. they're probably looking for me right now" "damn...Fugo, you should go back to them. you're only scaring them like this" Mista demanded. "I can't" Fugo mumbled. "what was that?" Mista asked. "I said..I CAN'T!! AREN'T YOU LISTENING TO ME, MISTA!? I CANNOT GO BACK TO THEM WITH ALL THAT I HAVE DONE TO YOU!! I CAN'T LIVE WITH MYSELF LIVING PEACEFULLY AFTER HURTING NARANCIA" Fugo screamed at Mista, getting up from the ground and tackling the brunette, both of them rolling down a small hill, Narancia following them down. "Fugo!? Mista!?" Narancia called out to them, finding them wrestling each other in the dirt. "both of you, stop it!!" Narancia yelled, grabbing Fugo and pulling him off of Mista, the wolf still trying to escape. "oww...sorry, Narancia. he just scared me is all.." Mista groaned, getting up from the ground and patting the dirt off of him. "Fugo, calm down!!" Narancia ordered, tightening his grip around him. after a while, Fugo eventually ran out of energy to try and fight back and remained in Narancia's grip, panting from exhaustion. "here, I brought some water" Mista said, offering the bottle to Fugo. "I'm sorry about hitting you" "it's...fine..I don't need a drink.." Fugo mumbled, swatting the bottle away with his hand. "Fugo, you haven't drank anything today.. just take it!" Narancia scolded the wolf, taking the bottle from Mista and giving it to Fugo, who hesitantly drank it.

"there, that wasn't difficult, was it?" Narancia sighed. "you didn't need to do that.." Fugo whined at the ravenette. "yes I did! I care about you, Fugo! why are you being so difficult!? I just want to help you!" Narancia yelled. "I'm sorry.." Fugo apologised, falling back into Narancia's arms. "I'll miss you, Narancia" Fugo mumbled, escaping the smaller's grasp once he let go. "Fugo, you don't need to do this..just come back!!" Fugo got up and kissed Narancia on his head and pulled him into a hug. "I hope we meet again someday, even if it's only for a little bit. I'll cherish all the time we had together, thank you Narancia. thank you" Narancia hugged back and sobbed quietly into Fugo's chest. "I'll miss you.." Narancia said through his crying. "I'll miss you too, but it's safer for you this way" Fugo said, pulling away from the hug and smiling. a sad, despairing smile, and he ran away into the darkness.
