Agent Riot: H-004
-Entry Log # 447-
The SCP Foundation has many enemies. One is the Chaos Insurgents. Madmen who seek the SCPs to use as weapons against the world. The Global Occult Coalitions prefer to destroy every single SCP they get their hands on. Then there is the Serpent's Hand. Arguably the good guys in all of this. Their mission is to destroy all SCPs that pose a threat to humanity. I wonder how these groups are so different... one wants absolute power, one liberty from the supernatural, the other protection for humanity, and mine to understand and explore.
I could have been in any one of these facilities... but I was chosen by one and turned into this... this tool. I'm losing track of what I'm supposed to be doing for the foundation. And I saving humanity from entities... or just creating the biggest ticking time bomb this world has ever seen.
The foundation finally found one of the Serpent's Hand bases of operations after exhausting some of our resources. The mission was simple. Infiltrate the base, recover as many SCPs as possible, and destroy the base afterward. Simple enough... right?
-Flashback-
The day is dark with storm clouds looming over the area like the grim Reaper looming over a doomed soul. Rain poured down more heavily than a blizzard with winds roaring like a hurricane. Everything from trees to the animals suffered from the unforgiving weather. Except the Serpent's Hand facility that stood firm against the forces of nature. Its lights burnt through the dark sky, scanning the air and ground for any intruders. However, they failed to spot six of the Foundation's best and brightest.
For this mission, an Elite special operations united training and led by me, was chosen to infiltrate the Serpent's Hand's base to retrieve the SCPs. This should be an easy mission but there is one problem.
Margaret: "Quit staring at my ass Rogers."
Rogers: "Well I can't help it if you're crawling ahead of me."
Mike: "G-guys we r-really n-need to be qu-quiet now."
Marc: "Yeah, you're not helping by staring at other's asses man."
Rogers: "You're doing it too!"
Quinn: "We're all going to die..."
Yep... this so-called Special Opts is actually just made of the MTFs who helped me fight the Chaos Insurgents. They are a useless bunch but at least they all have their own skills. Margaret is by far the most disciplined and is the only one I can truly trust to have my back. Not only that but she is the one who helps me keep control over this lot. Rogers and Marc are like two peas in a pod. They are both idiots but can provide the muscles when needed. Not that I can't lift what they can. Then there is Quinn and Mike, the sharpshooters of the team. Their only flaws are that Mike is far too afraid and Quinn is too pessimistic. But this is the team I'm given so I'll make it work.
Riot: "Everything shut up. We only have a ten-second window to get to the wall. So get your shit together and be prepared to move on my single."
They fell silent and waited for my command. They have long since learned to do what I tell them to do. Otherwise, they enter a world of humiliation and pain.
Riot: "Good. Now be ready to move on my mark. Three, two, one, mark."
Just as I say mark, the automated lights pass over us, giving us just enough time to get to the wall of the facility. There the lights cannot reach and where we'll be able to infiltrate the base.
We all run like hell, with Marc and Rogers leading the charge, followed by Margaret, Quinn, and Mike. I'm towards the end to make sure no one falls behind. Thankfully I did not need to carry anyone. We press ourselves against the wall and immediately look for a way in.
